I worked for 1st Reliant for a short time ~ this is the honest truth and it is not slander or dishonesty. for a very short time, I quit my previous job and was offered more money and received a signed contract and salary however; two months into working for this company, the contract changed and he was unable to honor his promise and cancelled our insurance and then changed to 1099. Throughout the time I worked there, it was a revolving door and many people were let go,including our Loan Processor, we had a contract Loan Processor, made it difficult to get answers timely, our Lenders Estimate would literally take a week or more. When I would tell Craig Chang, the client was upset, he said that there was nothing he could do, and he felt the loan wasn't enough for him to make an exception, we lost the deal. The pricing engine, optimal blue, the rates are not competitive in the industry and there are other lenders that provide better rates for higher fico scores and 1st Reliant will not change the pricing. The call center at the time, was warm lead transfers, literally, these borrowers were shopping and out of many, maybe there would be one or two good loans to each Loan Officer. If you would tell Craig, the leads were terrible, he wouldn't listen he would get angry if you made an opinion and fire you, he was stubborn and wanted to keep the call center even though is was a financial loss. His call center was also calling on Loan Officers that already were working on leads, one Loan Officer, lied to tell the borrower the original Loan Officer that was working on their loan was not working with the company anymore. If 1st Reliant has changed their company policy for the better, the best of luck to them. I just want you to be aware of what your getting into if any problem arises in the future.
