Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My boyfriend needed a job he was currently working in a supermarket and he is looking for a better job that can help him with his current situation at home. He arrived to the country two years ago and he lives with his father and two sisters who are unemployed and he is trying to bring his mom from his country. we have plans to get married and live together but in order for him to support his family and also live with me he would have to get a better job.

I saw an ad in the news paper that stated that they needed front desk security guard no experience necessary. When I called the guy told me he did not need to speak English and that he had an interview for the following Friday. I took the day off to go with him since he was a bit nervous and did not want to go by himself. when we got there the building looks like a school and when we went inside  everyone was dressed in jeans and t-shirts. he sat and filled out an application.

Once he completed the application he stated that he did not know the language a gentleman told him he would be interviewed in Spanish. The interviewer Alex = email address Alex Todman [[email protected]] stated that he needed to take a two day training and once he took the training the following week he would be placed in a position as a security guard front desk. all he had to do is instruct people where to go.

He stated he would get paid between 12 to 19 dollars an hour. It was music to my boyfriends ears since he is currently making minimum wage. The interviewer Alex also stated we needed to pay a total of 360 dollars in order to go through with the training, and he assured us that he would have a job the following weekend.

My boyfriend attended the two week training he passed all of tests. he then went home and waited. No one called him for two weeks. I then proceeded to call and find out what happened Alex stated he had the certificates ready for him and that then he needed to go to a different location 250 W 141st street to get placed in a job.

My boyfriend picked up the certificates and the following day we went to the address provided for him to get placed on the job.  When we arrived there he was told by the security guard that the certificate my boyfriend had wasn't valid and that he could not get placed unless he would retake the class in their location. He also proceeded in giving us his contact information in case we needed to sue the company that sent him there.

My boyfriend starts calling Alex and he would not pick up. I then proceed to send an e-mail stating that if he did not get back to me within 24 hours I was going to contact the authorities. Alex responded to the e-mail and stated that due to the hurricane Sandy they had some inconvenience and that he would get back ot us. I had to contact him again about a week later to see what happened. he stated that they had a miss understanding with the company located at 250 west 141 street and that it was now all fixed, all my boyfriend had to do was call Albany and have them resend him the original certificates. e-mails go back and forth between Alex and I and my boyfriend no longer trust Alex.

My boyfriend at this point is no longer interested and decided that he wants his money back.
my boyfriend pays Alex a visit and request his money back. Previously Alex states in an e-mail that if he wanted his money back they had no inconvenience in doing so.

When my boyfriend shows up he tells him that he needs to call Albany that he provided me with the information as to where to call and that once he had his certificate that he would then be placed in a job. my boyfriend states he is no longer interested and that he wants his money back. Alex states he has to provide a letter of what happened and that he would then have to summit this letter to his boss and it might take 7 to 14 days to get his money back.

I then send Alex an e-mail so that he can inform me as to what happened; I also wanted to know, what the procedure was in order to get the money back. He states that I have to send a letter to his boss (he wouldn't provide the boss name) that they would evaluate the letter and that he couldn't guarantee that he would get his money back.

Today 12/3/12 I Google the phone number to Albany he had previously given me and it appears to be a cell phone number of someone who lives in Brooklyn. The phone number is (516) 474-7569.

I am very disappointed of how this business is taking advantage of people in need of a Job. It would be great if something could be done to at least get my boyfriends money back.

This whole operation is a joke. There is no one higher then the people in that office. You people need to go there and get your information from these convicted felons.  They keep your information for personal use or sale it via the internet for a price. This company has no dealings with Albany or and real security company. Do not give them any money or let them make copies of your ID!!!
