I placed an order for virtual credits for an online game. I followed their instructions clearly, and even gave them my phone number so they could contact and 'confirm' as they said.
Not only that, but they actually thought I'd send them a picture of my credit card, which is what they asked for. I told them no way, and then they called to confirm.
After that was all taken care of, they said they were out of stock of the in game money. I asked them why they were still taking orders for it, and got no response. I even asked beforehand if it was in stock before I ordered, and was told yes, they had plenty.
After waiting for a long time, and arguing with them about their practices (lying, not fulfilling my order, needing my credit card picture, etc.) I told them I'd give them till the next morning to deliver it or refund me. They adamantly refused to refund, because each person states he/she doesn't have the power to refund my paypal payment. I said by morning refund me or have my credits ready.
It's not been about 24 hours and they still refuse both. They will not even respond when I try to do the live chat. Before they keep giving the same response, 'Thank you, I will make a check, please wait a sec.'
Anyone out there trying to buy virtual items, gold, etc. DON'T. Most of these companies are scams, if not all of them. Here's a sure fire way of determining if a lot of these companies are scams.
1. They have the same 'live support' button in the top of the right column of the website.
2. Their FAQ is almost all the same questions and responses.
3. If you click on the live support/chat, you will come to a chat that says: 'BOLD CHAT support.' If you see that, they are related.
These companies are all by the same guy, I think, and they are all in business of ripping people off together. Stay away from them.
