401k meeting exchange Nick Akel, Desiree akel , philip akel, criminal scumbag drug addicts stole $500.00 from me claiming thay wouls set quality appointment with companys that sponsored 401k retirement plans.. these people took my money and ran away.. thay are wellington, Florida
I am a Certified financial planner with an extremely reputable company and have been for many years. I was contacted by Nick Akel. and Phillip Akel, The so called president and vise president of the 401k meeting exchange. They offered to launch a marketing campaign on my behalf scheduling quality appointments with companies that sponsor 401k plans. I agreed and was charged an initial fee of $500.00 on my credit card. I have not received one appointment from this company since the time that they billed my credit card. I have been given the run around and have been shifted between Nick Akel, Phillip Akel and Desiree Akel. I have been promised the world but they have delivered absolutely nothing in months, Since I have requested my money back they will not accept my calls.and they do not return my emails . And in inquiring about this company I found that there are a number of other financial advisors throughout the county that have fallen victim to their scam. I also found that Nick Akel was fired from a reputable company in the same business because of misrepresentation and requesting advances of pay from the owner because he pawned his 15 year old son christophers gold chain to use crack cocaine. Nick and Phillip Akel have both had run ins with the law and were both formally licensed advisors. They both have battled a number of legal issues.One of which being invested by the SEC and FBI. Both Philip and Nick have lost their licensed to trade years ago. They are now praying on honest financial advisors through out the country. I highly recommend that no one does business with this organization or these people. They are liars, thieves, cheats and drug addicts. This company is currently being investigated by the Securities Exchange Commission, FBI and numerous state attorney's offices through out the country.

This is a response to the complaint mentioned in this report. Although I have no definitive proof to deny this report, what I do have is a personal knowledge of the reports victims. I use the word victim because the report is personal and caused pain for the persons outlined in this report hence my motive for this rebuttal. I have some idea who is the real originator of the report, but the irony is he, and his family, have been victims of this type of personal reporting as well and Im sure it doesnt sit well with him.
Two of the mentioned names in this report, Nick and Desiree Akel, are no longer involved in this company. Its not because of any wrong doings; quite the opposite, they are very upstanding professionals (as well as Phil, although we have not met) and they took an idea from a person who was very entrepreneurial and he created a template for them to create this business. They left because of reports and comments like this and the fact that this is a permanent mark when you Google their names (per RipOffReports policy).
My advice is when you create a report like this; keep the persons name, but more importantly, their childrens name, out of it. The companys name should suffice. Im sure the reports author would feel the same way if it happened to them. As a matter a fact, my hope is all parties involved in this report, including the author, can come together again away from the time and the events to when this was written.

Why would an Assistant DA be getting involved in a 'defamation of character' case when this is purely a civil court matter, not criminal ???
As for the witness tampering issue you have to have an active criminal investigation in progress in order to have witnesses to tamper with. Which law enforcement agency is handling this investigation? FBI, SEC, Sheriff, State Police ??

Assistant District Attorney, Palm Beach County, Melissa Phillips (561-355-7100) is investigating the above report and possible charges of defamation of character, endangering the welfare of a child, and possibly witness tampering.
This story is a fabrication of lies and PERSONAL attacks that insult the decency of educated financial advisors. It is obvious to all educated and professional individuals that the grammar, spelling, profanity and low level personal attacks in this nonsense story is not of a client or any Financial Advisor. The use of the name and age of a child to identify him in a story of criminal activity and drugs, is nothing but obscene and criminal in nature - an act of a predator who wants to hurt innocent children unrelated to business.
The DAs office will confirm to anyone concerned that there are no cases or investigations (open, closed or pending) against this company or any individuals involved. We are confident that those who matter to the business can see through the level of communication, profanity and serious personal attacks that this story is far from reality.
As far as the accusations of criminal behavior and run-ins with the law, these are public records as everyone knows, and we invite and encourage anyone in doubt to please search the records of all parties mentioned. There are none. This is a personal attack on the character of the people involved, which is clearly and without a doubt offensive, abusive, defamatory, inaccurate, obscene, and profane. A clear violation of Terms of Service of Ripoff Report.
