My six horses (three drafts, 2QH's and 1 donkey) to be freeze branded by Kim Butler, November of 2012. It was stated upon him leaving that if they do not show up properly in the Spring, to notify him and he will come out, free of cost, to re brand those who didn't.
March 2013, I contacted Kim Butler via facebook to let him know theirs where not showing up as told it would.
"Hey. I had a question. My draft mare's brand isn't all white. Is that normal due to winter coat or is it possible she needs re branded again? The same for one of my other horses as well. I can send you pictures friday afternoon/evening as need to get out there to take a picture for you to have better visual of what I am talking about. Thanks!"
Kim Butler's response: "Wait till they shed good its still early".
June 2013:
"notice that some of the horse's brands are not fully white still. I rub against some of the spots and notice there isn't a "scar indention" feeling. What do you suggest? I do have two more horses that would be branded. So, if do re-branding, it would be at least 5 horses to brand all together. Thanks."

" Will get with you the end of July sorry I am booked up till then"
July came around and it was getting really hot. July and August (August being the hottest time of the year) with the triple digits and drought was sever. I suggested we wait until September or October roles around. Kim Butler said that sounds good, to let him know.
September 4th, 2013:
"Hey Kim, Would you be available for October 20th (Sunday)? If prefer not to do Sundays or unavailable, if can 17th, 18th, 25th or 26th of October? Thanks."
He responded: "I will get one of those days working."
On September 18th. I asked him if he got any dates yet and he responded "I will. Sorry"
Kim replied: "Oct. 19 at 9:30 does that work"
***Mind you, I didn't include the 19th on the 4th response, I gave him dates I am available and any dates inbetween are not available******
"No. I will not be home that day as be in Purcell for a show. 17th, 18th or 20th? What about November?"
Kim stated: "
OK that will work better for us and our rodeos I will let you know in a little while!
Is there any Saturday's you are available in Nov? I work during the week. thanks"
I said the 16th or the 30th.
He said the 16th and the date was set.
I messaged him a few times the first two weeks of November, with no response back, asking for the time. He finally messages back 5 DAYS before he was set to come out and said
"The new owner of the freeze branding business will not be able to make it Sat but I give him all your information and he will be in touch with you thanks."
Come July of 2014, I messaged Kim to let him know that Hunter was unwilling to schedule (keep the date and not cancel on me) and will ignore my messages now. Kim stated he doesn't own the business anymore and he will contact Hunter that I am trying to get a hold of him. Kim has also began to ignore my messages.
Hunter has gave me every excuse it seems and always "when I get down that way" or say I have to pay his way if no other clients etc. All which was not part of the business deal as Kim stated everything will be honored on his quality and work. I even provided pictures and had other people comment at shows and events that it wasn't a good quality freeze brand.
I even offered gas money. With that many horses, I can not drive up to their location and I would be out hundreds of dollars in gas doing so when the horses where to be rebranded free of cost. I will be left to pay someone else to re do them all over again.
Kim Butler got paid in cash.
Both are involved/friends with the Equine Rescue near by and with the work they gave done, I thought they could be trusted on their business.
