Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I joined the Facebook page. It showed that several of my family members had challenged me to an IQ test. I'm not too computer savy but thought I would show them. I got through the test and then it said to enter my cell phone number. Next thing I know, they want $9.99.

I texted back on my cell that I did not wish to subscribe and they texted back that I was not a subscriber. It didn't however stop them from charging on my Alltel cell phone bill the $9.99.

I took the bill into the Alltel office where I was told that this Reveal YOur Lover charge was from my experience on Facebook and all I had to do was text them back at that 91097 and tell them I want a refund. All I got was a "you are not subscribed". Then how come I still got charged?

On top of that, my husband and I work opposite shifts. He wants to know why I would be doing a "Reveal YOur Lover" thing. How do you explain that one? I am a nurse and over 50! I find it EMBARRASING to have such a charge placed on my phone. It was my phone and I am the only one with access! He also wants to know what I got for my $9.99.

How do I get my refund?

I did not authorize this charge to my cell phone. Alltel should not have allowed the charge. It is not in my contract. The lady said she would have to take it to her boss, who would deny it or take it to his boss who would deny it. How do I get a refund from a service who says I didn't subscribe?

Do you really believe that if you don't pay that portion of your bill that your phone won't be shut off? Be real. That money is paid by the Cell Carrier on your behalf so guess what - they have every right to turn off your service, and will do so - legally. Try fighting it. The 9.99 is a lot cheaper than a lawyer

There is no "fine print" to authorize such on a cell phone. No terms of service or anything is sent to you before you are billed. I voted by text on American Idol one year several years ago and had the same problem with this same company. They continued to charge me $9.99 every time I opened one of the text messages telling me they were renewing my non-existent subscription for Premium SMS. After following their procedures both leaving a voice mail (you won't get a live person, ever) and by sending the word "STOP" to them, the charges continued. My cell phone carrier, Verizon, told me there was nothing they could as this was third party billing. The way I finally stopped it was by telling them I had not paid that portion of my Verizon bill and to make a note on my account that I would not pay it, and my payment for cell phone service would be minus the Mobile Messenger charges. Funny how it stopped when they did not get paid! Regardless of a person's initial action that starts this type of scam, Bikebryan, when a customer tells a company to discontinue billing for a service, it should stop. Mobile Messenger will not. The only way to deal with Mobile Messenger is to not pay that portion of the bill. The cell phone carrier can't disconnect your phone for doing so, and money DOES talk!

Improper company to complain about

Why issue your complaint against your cell phone company? They aren't charging you; they are merely passing the charge along to you from the company you DID agree to accept charges from. So...... 1) Learn to issue complaints against the correct company 2) Takse some responsibility for your actions. You did authorize this.

There is always fine print when it comes to services on a cell phone, you are almost always charged for something. Do research before jumping in on a program next time.
