Response to Hollie and ex-employee
Thank you so much for responding to my complaint 5 years later my bullmastiff has grown up to be a very loving adult and he is very happy. I always think back to when he was in that pet store and always wonder what if I didn't fall in love with his precious little face. When he was 1st bought to the emergency vet hospital they told me he could've died at the pet store within a few weeks in the condition he was in when I purchased him. With that bad experience I had with world of pets and will never purchase anything else from them the only positive thing was my baby bruno and my kids love him. A few months ago I passed the location where he was and it doesn't look like they are there anymore. I hope they have been shutdown forever and will never be able to sell another animal again.

The original report before spewing non sense! If you would have properly read the original report you would have noticed that the puppy was purchased on Feb 20, 2006 and signs on illness presented the very next day and the puppy was taken to the vet on Feb 22, 2006 which I believe is 2 DAYS after purchase, therefor well within the 3 day time frame idiot! Regardless the animal was clearly very sick from the moment of purchase and if a guarantee is going to be given it should be given for the buyers choice of vet, otherwise exactly what seems to have happened will always happen and the vet of the stores choice will always sign off even when it is clear that the animal is not well.
Pet Store animals have never been cheap and have always been way over priced in my opinion, therefor their health should be of exellent condition however the sad truth is they are usually not. When looking for a pet other then a fish, gerbil, hampster or guinea pig you should always first do your research on the breed you are looking for and then locate aREPUTABLE breeder and chances are you will be much happier with your purchase and probably won't end up spening as much as the purchase price from a pet store not to mention all the vet bills you incur but again the magic word there is REPUTABLE because there are some private breeders out there who are just as bad if not worse then the pet stores. Good luck to you and I hope your puppy is now a beautiful, happy, healthy 5 year old.

After purchasing a few puppies from World of Pets, I have never had an issue not even a sneeze coming out of my pups. Maybe you should pay attention when the salesman speaks especially when he says to bring your new pet to the vet WITHIN 3 DAYS OF PURCHASE!!!!!

i feel for you and your family. you are definitely not the first person this has happened to. you are 1 of the many people that purchases a dog from a world of pets. I'm truly surprised department of health hasn't closed them down?? the owner GARY has been on "Shame on You" and "Help me Howie" and will lie and say it was about a died fish, it was a dead dogs and birds. there employees only care about making a bigger and better sale, they work on commission. management doesn't care, because they already have your money. they PAY the vets to sign fit for sale paper work, even thou the vets know the dogs are sick. the vets joke and call a world of pets, "A WORLD OF DEATH". the vets don't care, because your "1 free vet visit" is to the vet that already fit your dog, and is going to bang you out for more money, so they are getting paid twice. the owner Gary hires people that don't speak English or even care about the animals. if i where you, i would post your comment everywhere you can on the Internet and worn others too. a world of pets gets complaints all the time and nothing ever happens. best of luck 1 of the many caring ex-employees
