I also have the Quikpure 2 ozone system and feel that it is kind of over-priced and of dubious construction. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the same lifetime warranty as some of A&A's other products, so if it fails, you will be purchasing the internal components yourself to fix it.
That said, I also have the A&A Magnasweep, in-floor, pool cleaning system and couldn't be happier! Over 12 years of continual use and not one problem, except for a worn gear-set and some broken t-valves - all of which, were replaced for free by A&A!
Don't let one bad report discourage you from using this company's products. They are excellent quality, made here in the USA and the customer service is fantastic - totally unlike most companies of today!

I'm Sorry . that this person had a problem with their Ozonator. I don't have that product but I have a full A&A MFG floor system and I couldn't be happier with them. I've had their product for 19 years. It's the 2nd best part of our pool. The first better part of our pool is being in a clean pool. We live in Las Vegas and it always seems to windy. Our can get trashed from the the wind from debrea dust & dirt. When our pool turns on with then 15-20 minutes it's as clean as Sparklets drinking water. I don't have time to hassle with those hose cleaning systems. Thank God! Our pool is almost 19 years old and stuff wears out. Like the pop up head nozzles, the pool actuator. I've called A&A MFG, with no questions, they send me out new parts at no charge if I send them the wore out part. Or I can prepay for the part and return the old part and they credit my card right back. Yes they have a lifetime warranty and stand behind it 100% I'm not a employee, I don't have friends or family work there. I'm a very happy customer. So when I Googled them and this Ripoff report popped up. I felt like they are not getting a fair report. So if you want a no hassle clean pool, I highly recommend this company to everyone building a pool. I've had 5-6 friends that bought their system from my recommendation and they all are as happy as we are. So don't let this Ripoff report stop you from buying a great product from a great company. From Frank a very happy customer.!

I just found the following report from October 2005 on the Internet:
http://www.waterquality.net/upload/fmarticlesa/A_A_Units_Pool_Unit_Results_6.pdf
basically this report found that:
(1) the product does not have any recognized safety approvals such as UL, NSF or CE
(2) the product is not made of aluminum and therefore "there are concerns with the unit rusting and corrosion from ozone and exposure to UV light"
(3) the ballast is overdriving the lamp - ballast and lamp don't fit together resulting in premature lamp failure.
(4) the lamp filaments are not preheated. this causes sputtering and the blackening of the lamp that decreases the ozone output of the lamp.
(5) airflow device inside the unit is restrictive and a higher airflow cannot be attained.
(6) on all units the grounding lug was loose
(7) unit lacks appropriate warnings, installation instructions and a manual for the installer and the pool owner.
Yet, this unit was sold to us by the pool builder for over $ 400,- without mentioning the report or any of the inherent problems of this product. I feel that it is almost fraudulent to sell something that a laboratory has tested and found to have several problems as a "top of the line product". We are pretty sure that A&A had positive knowledge of this report (published several months before this unit was installed) and when I called to complain about the constant problems it was "probably the reason is that the installer made a mistake, there is nothing wrong with our product."
