AAMCO ripoff selling of transmissions that needed no repair Cathedral City California
When I was working for AAmco in Cathedral City CA. I found my self in a very bad situation, They were selling everything that was coming in the door. I found my self be ordered to tear down a unit and write a worn and damage report that was false they even had the other part of the shop (building) full of bad units that they used to sell with you would just leave the good unit you tore down on the table or put in a cart and just before the owner would get there they would roll out the bad unit and show the car owner or adjuster the bad transmission.
This is not a place I want to work, I did not work all these years and buy all the tools and books, And even my own testing equipment to just wash cases and put them back together.
First I talked to them about it and of coarse that did no good and then I found out the salesman was in trouble with another State it seems he had owned his own shop and been caught doing what they was doing here. The owner was weak and what that means is if he has a honest salesman he is honest and a bad salesman he is bad. The owner is reporting 30 thousand a week but really doing in the mid 40s. Hes even selling them under the table writing up receipts on generic receipt books.
First they tried to threaten me, that don't fly so then they try to bribe me, So now I'm a sucker? Then the sales man make a bad mistake he says you know it would be a shame for your family to suffer for this. That is just to much, So they started a war. First I made them fire me, I then went to the city attorney, I had copied job numbers that I had to do that there was nothing wrong and also only signed th ROs that the transmission really needed to be rebuilt He didn't want mess with it go figure. They were laughing at me saying I was just a builder and didn't have enough smarts to do anything about what they were doing.But in the mean time I had stoled the receipt book that the owner was using for under the tables and called those people and most of them loved the new receipt with a full life time warranty instead of a 6 month or a year warranty.
I then fooled another owner into thinking that I had an interview with a news paper and being that CA. has Strong AAmco owners association they called home office and the owner was forced to sell the shop in 24 hours,Can't do any thing Yuh right!
But the new owner even though home office promised that the salesman would never work for an AAmco again. Had that salesman working in about a month and home office did they help any of those people that got ripped off? No of coarse nothing was said the old owner walking around free as a bird. Me well of coarse you know I am black balled but thats okay I went bad to school got my degree and work for a company that sells modules to change fuel and also ship patterns with these new units. Lets say we try not to do anything for an AAmco but if we do they just pay a little more after all its just business just business

I am the new owner of the AAMCO Cathedral City Location. We have opened a new location with all new people. We have done our best to take care of the customers that were not handled the way they should have been even taking care of customers that are out of warranty. I own several locations and can assure that all AAmco owners are not the same. The person who wrote this I do not know but I would have done the same thing. Customers are what keep us in bussiness. Anybody can sell transmissions but taking care of the customer is most important. In closing If there are any customers out from the old AAmco that have not been handled please contact my store and I will see what I can do to help. No I'm doing okay but I've always been one not to forget. I mean if some owner shafted me well you no when a inter shop comes my way I just feel that the guy is not to worried about spending a little more money to repair the transmission. I mean he has to understand the game right? and since I've been in at least three times longer than the owner that shafted me, Of coarse he knows I'm going to get even and the salesman well he's going to help me to because if a unit comes from a shop that shafted him well you know he will need my help. You know how it goes. But that's just in cases where they do a normal shafting last check no good didn't get paid for a vacation you no the common excuse no cash flow. But these guys threatened me with my families health you no like something would happen to my wife or my three children or all of them. In this circumstance it ain't over until I say so and as far as I'm concerned it will never be over.I see them on the street,store, restaurant what ever I disrespect them they want to go to blows about it thats cool to it ain't over.

Thanks Greg Greg~~~What you did was the right thing. Just think of all the people you helped. The moms with the kids just barely making it~~Putting money in their pockets (owners) the working people that have to work harder and longer to pay this kind of business. I agree with you~~~The only problem is that this cannot be stopped only reported~~~~~~Itz lika drug deelahh when the police show up an take them away,someone else takes their place. too bad you can't keep workin someplace instead of being squeezed out of something you wanted to do.These people took your dream away.
