I just have to say that after reading Vickie K.'s grievance upon her experience with Mr. Mack Lowery and his AAMCO dealership...well, I'm completely astounded. NOTHING in this report rings true to my ears after having used his services (and his father's services beforehand). This family has to be one of the most honest and most forthright business families I have ever dealt with and they absolutely bend over backwards to accomodate their customers.I have to believe Mr. Lowery in this case as it relates to Geico because I have never had Geico as my insurance coverage, but I have had Mr. Lowery work of a sum total of at least 3 of my vehicles and we have experienced nothing less than their complete determination to make us happy. I have had him service rebuilt transmissions for my personal car, my wife's car and one of my daughter's car and we have gotten nothing but their very best.Based on my experience with this business and what Vickie K. has written here, I would have to "color" her claims as grossly false against Mr. Lowery and his AAMCO business.

Dear Madam,
First of all I have been a customer of Aamco in Jackson,Ms for 25 years... I have known Mac Lowery and dealt with him personally for as many years.... On May 9th,2009 I was involved in a Hit and Run while at work by none other than one of Mac's competitors in Jax,(Furr Trans.).. I was laid up for 18 months and couldn't work while my son was in college in Houston,Tx...
My son came home in his truck one weekend and the trans failed and he took my car back to school... I had no money to facilitate repairing his truck... I called Mac to see what my options were and he asked me to bring it in for diagnostic. He called me 2 Days later too inform me my truck was repaired and he had done the work for free..... YES FREE!!!!!! I never asked him for this gesture of kindness he did this on his own.... When I asked Why he only said that he had been wanting to do something for me during my time of need and this just happened to be the time he could help.....
I am deeply in debt to Mac Lowery and his personnel for their gracious effort and kindness... Their is a God and I know that Mac is a good businessman and person.... He can be trusted to be truthful and honest in his business....
Sincerely Charles Wall
Clinton,Ms

It really sounds like some sort of kickback arrangement exists, and the AG should investigate..... IMPORTANT LESSON!!! Don't let adjusters push you around, you have rights too.....

This is a response from AAMCO, Jackson, Ms. To the completely false accusations in this rip off report. Geico was our customer, not the individual who owned the car and wrote the letter. AAMCO in Jackson could do only what GEICO authorized because they were paying the ticket, the owner of this vehicle did not pay anything for AAMCO's service. AAMCO recommended rebuilding the transmission but GEIKO found a used transmission. They sent it to AAMCO and paid us to install the used transmission. The first unit did not work and they sent another used unit and paid AAMCO to install it. This transmission was working perfectly when it left Mississippi. AAMCO in Jackson, Ms has absolutely no say so in the type of repair that was performed nor did we have any warranty obligation other than installing the used transmission properly. The owner of the vehicle was given all of this information throughout the repair process and again when the car was released to her. The only rip off between this dissatisfied customer and AAMCO transmission, Jackson, Ms.is the completely false accusations that she has posted and which I, Mack Lowery at AAMCO Jackson, Ms. have no way of removing even though there is no thread of truth to accusations against us! As to her accusations against the other repair shops and GEICO I have no knowledge of the situations but judging from the false accusations against AAMCO Jackson, Ms. I have serious doubts about the rest of her accusations.
