On Oct 23, 2009, Rick Aaron sent signed contracts back for artist Monica. He told me Monica would do this date in Kansas City, MO on October 30, 2009 to host $3,500 plus travel and hotel. I got deposit in for this date and began working on after party and got one for $1,000. He said that will work if I got another date she would ask for $1,000 plus a door split to host on Oct 31, 2009 in Wichita, KS. In short either of these dates nor the after party happened. He called night before the 1st date and said Monica can't do it and said he would return deposits. He told me along with my promoters money would be returned and never was. When I called him he said he returned it to my promoters and that have already been given their money back. He tells the promoters he gave the money to me and I kept it. Rick Aaron and Aaron Entertainment is a scam. I contacted Monica's management and they don't even know him and didn't no about these dates. They told me that Monica doesn't host for even that price its a lot more she gets to host. I have a booking agency and he claims to be her agent and books her shows and I booked through him because he had contact my office before about finding Monica dates. I can't reach Rick Aaron, he never picks up his phone once you send him money. He has all the excuses in the world to why I don't have the money back. Stay away from this guy! He has no relationships in the music business. He claims to be able to secure artists for engagements but is the only person that hasn't come through for me.

No money has been refunded. Over 3 years later he makes a post to compliant. That should tell you how he does business!

Early on in my dealings with the complainant, I was instructed to deal with an individual who I was told was his “partner”.  I had initially confirmed the date with the requested artist, but as per is allowed via contract, the artist cancelled.  I issued a full refund through instructions given via the “partner” who I was instructed to deal with. I submitted proof of payment and I believe that the “partner” chose to simply keep the money without refunding the business or informing the complainant that the refund had in fact been received.  Any given celebrity performer can have several managers, agents, reps and handlers (including recording label execs, personal and business managers, personal and label issued publicists, attorneys, regional, national and international booking agents and more).  The complainant claims to have spoken with the artist’s management, but it is likely that they either accessed someone who was not part of the deal or someone who was not actually part of the management team.  The claim that I do not have industry relationships could not be further from the truth when in fact I have well over 15 years of industry experience and contacts.  Between 2009 and the present I have successfully booked celebrities such as Joe, Dru Hill, Drake, Tyga, The Game, E-40, KCI & JoJo, Redfoo, R Kelly and more at venues in Nassau Bahamas, Palm Springs, CA, San Diego, CA, Bakersfield, CA, Fresno, CA, Las Vegas, NV and more. I am sorry that the aforementioned deal did not result in an actual show for the complainant, however celebrity bookings are subject to cancellation due to illness, error or unforeseen occurrence (note high profile appearance cancellations by Lady Gaga, Elton John and more in the media); risks that all clients are made contractually aware of. I feel in issuing a full refund I did all I could to service my client and I feel it is unfortunate that he suffered a loss at the hands of someone he considered a “partner”.   I invite anyone with questions on this matter to contact me any time for a portfolio of completed events and/or professional references.
