Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Well I lived in Las Vegas about 6 years ago. I went into Aarons to buy some new furniture for my apt. They told me they would not run my social security nor needed it to get the stuff for my Apt. They told me I could put a deposit for the furniture and had 30 days to return if it I didnt like it.

They then delivered the furniture and demanded a copy of my lease. At no time did I give them permission to aquire nor use my personal information on the lease but they stated that they needed to make sure I would be staying at the address for atleast 6 months so they knew were the furniture was incase I didnt pay.

I then called them a week later not liking the furniture and they told me my deposit was actually put into the payment on the furniture inwhich I never agreed to they took advantage of me. I put 500 dollars down as a deposit and the  total was around 1200 for the furniture.

I then went back to California were I live for a few weeks to then returning and all my furniture had been stolen. In the end I was lied and scammed into something I did not want and they somehow used my social security number and attacked my credit without my permission.

Now this stupid credit company keeps calling me stating I owe them over 1500 for the furniture inwhich this whole ordeal was a big joke and got ripped off. I just now 6 years later after seing this site decided to contact the BBB and this site.

It's unfortunate your furniture you were leasing was stolen from your residence. Your lease agreement did stipulate you are responsible for leased property if it is stolen or disappears from your residence. Did you get a police report? If you did not settle the debt then you would be reported to the Credit Bureau.
