Aaron's Sales And Lease Ownership - Aaron Rents Made me pay for product I dont have, and refuse to refund my money or give store credit! ripoff Visalia California
I recently purchased a Bed frame (headboard, footboard, side rails and center supports, I owned my own mattress and box springs already) from Aarons Sales and Leasing in Visalia, Ca. Upon making my final payment I got a final reciept and certifacte of ownership. On those papers it says I paid for a matterss that I didnt recieve, I didnt need a matterss so I didnt buy one.
I pointed this out to the managers and ask if I had paid for a matterss that I did not recieve. They said yes I had in fact paid for that item. I paid for something I dont have and didnt get, in fact its not even the right size of matteress for my bed. I ask them what they were going to do about it and they said they would talk to the owner and get back to me. I had to call them because they didnt call me.
After calling several times I was told that the owner was not going to do anything about the situation, they were sorry I had paid for it but I was not going to get my money or even a store credit for the matteress I paid for but did not recieve.
This morning I was told that if I had pointed out the mistake before I made the last payment then maybe they would have done something. I had been pointing this fact out for several months and was being told that I was mistaken and that I wasnt paying this matteress. But come to find out I had paid for it.
Now I will admit that I had been late on some payments. I did however make all my payments and even paid the bed off. But the fact remains that I paid for an item I didnt order, dont want and dont have. And am being told I WILL NOT be given my money back, or a store credit.
Oh and lets not forget to mention that the times I was late, I was harrassed by the employees. They would call 15-20 times a day and hang up. They would show up at all hours of the day or night and beat on my doors and windows for 30-45 minutes at a time. They would leave 10-20 notices taped to every window, door, and gate on the property. And even put the all over my car. I was threatened and treated very rudely.

Small Claims Court?

I would only say that if they are skirting your calls and giving you the run around that you should try taking them to small claims court. Take them to Small Claims court and let the judge hear your side and theres. I'd give them a few more tries to say atleast you tried and then find a good lawyer and take them to court. I'd also bring up how you tried to contact the 'owner' several tiimes but never would get a response if you do take them to small claims court.
