My issue isn't with Aaron's per se, but I believe there has been some negligence on their part which may cause me future problems. In December, I went out of town to visit my sister over Christmas. My then boyfriend-on again, off again for 3yrs- was housesitting and feeding my cat. It is important to note that this man NEVER resided with me-due to the aforementioned unstable status of the relationship. When I returned from my trip, I found a brand new washer/dryer in my laundry room, with a note that said "Merry Christmas, Love Santa." I was thrilled and overwhelmed. I should have been suspicious.  I subsequently gave away my old set and gave the jerk credit for a generosity that he did not deserve.  Three months later in March, I was done with the relationship as he was very controlling, verbally abusive, physically threatening and unreliable. I told him at that time that he could take back the W/D, but would he replace with a used set. I am a single mother of a daughter and a moderately severe autistic son and do not have the means to purchase anything- and a washer/dryer is a necessity for hygiene as my son is not fully potty trained. A week ago he called me to inform me that he had moved on and was getting married (mind you this is a little over a month since the break-up) and that he was no longer going to make payments on the W/D-so they would be repossessing in June. I had no idea my Christmas "present" was a RTO- I was horrified! to make matters worse, I returned home the other day and they were gone. I assumed he accessed the house and took them and was upset, but now after reading these horror stories, I am concerned that I will be harassed. AND I have a pressing concern-Don't these companies have an obligation to at least verify that the address of delivery is, in fact, the actual legal address of the renter/buyer? At the very least he must have committed some kind of fraud if he represented in his contract that he resided here! I have no desire to deal with these people and feel they should have done their homework. I do know my rights and I have no binding contract and further was not even here when the merchandise was delivered-can't they go after him for fraudulent misrepresentation?

All I hear is a bad decision made by a woman who wears her heart on her sleeve and has a big, fat, "COME ALL YE LOSERS" sign attached to her brow!

You are filled with excuses and s__t! Why would you let a loser, idiot around your "autistic" child in the first place? to heck with the washer and dryer! It sounds as if your priorities are screwed up as well as your head!

This is not a post for the "Rip Off Report" website, it is a segment of the Maury show!

Get it together, stop whining, making excuses, take care of your child and stop letting loser into your house!

SMDH!!!

Check with your local store to see what type of identification was obtained from your ex. Aaron's requires vaild photo id, and verifies residence with 5 personal references that are listed on the application / order form. As for him having access to your home presently I would suggest getting your locks changed and possibly consult with your local law enforcement and or county/parrish attorney in regards to filing a restraining order or a no contact order.
