I met a Mr. Abdul Kalam Azad Sattaur online (he goes by Kalam Diamond, amongst other company names). He stated he was a registered diamond trader. He said he dealt with over 100-500k in money, per month. He said he has been working in this industry for over 25 years. He said he has many contacts in the industry, including, but not limited to: (1) SADB board members who could expedte and provide different values for the roughs (during KPC process); (2) Worldwide contacts who deal with rough diamonds; (3) Cutters/polishers in India; (4) Bely from Congo, etc. Via a series of emails, calls, and chats, he and I agreed to meet in South Africa, to set up a rough diamond transaction. Upon my arrival to South Africa, he and Mr. Olebogeng Joel Mogakwe, also known as Mr. David Thabo, and also goes by "Bonga," met me at the Intercontinental Hotel.

The next morning, we met for the transaction. We exchanged what were supposed to be rough diamonds, but were indeed diamond simulants. Clearly, I was not aware of this at the time of purchase. He kept assuring that the stones were of great quality. The stones were all FAKE. Upon my quick arrival to US, after various gemologists (including the buyer's) had confirmed these were fake stones, I contacted Mr. Sattaur. I attempted to contact Mr. Sattaur over and over. No response. He stopped responding for the next two days, until we were forced to contact his family to get a hold of him. Suspiciously, he responded immediately after family contact was made.

When I found out stones were fake, I contacted Mr. Sattaur, and told him about the matter. He wanted me to send stones back, but continously refused to give an address. I asked him every day for the address, and he continously dodged the matter. Every day for a week, he said he had another parcel of roughs ready to send, but the supplier's name kept changing - I was very suspicious of this. He said he was going to send new ones "tomorrow." Quickly, tomorrow became the day that never arrived. He wanted me to send him $1,800.00 USD, so that he could send new stones. I refused. I had already lost a lot of money. Since the first day after telling him the stones were FAKES, he became a mouthful of excuses, changing stories, acting busy, acting unavailable, etc

Mr. Sattaur is a con-artist, to say the least. He is a thief, a scammer, a fraud, and a liar. He does not have any contacts. He does not have any product. Deal with Mr. Sattaur at your own risk - trust that you will regret it.
