I contacted our company lawyer and asked what to do about this situation. He told me to contact our customers and let them know what had happened and also to send a letter and email to our contact at Abraham Roth instructing them to stop collection efforts on our behalf since they will not return our calls or emails, and now their number is disconnected. I called one of our customers that was sent to collections to inquire if he did actually pay after he said he would. He said that he did pay, but he settled for a lesser amount. (One which we would not have agreed to. It was less than 25% of what he owes us.) He agreed to send me a copy of the letter he received from Abraham, Roth and Assoc. He also told me that he was instructed not to contact us by Abraham Roth, that our owner did not want to speak to him. *I am sure they did not count on a customer being cooperative with us after we sent them to collections. The letter had a different phone and fax number at the top of it. I called the number and a man answered "hello?" I asked for either Steve or Richard and was told they were unavailable. I asked who I was speaking to and he said "Rod". I expressed my concerns and told him that I am not getting responses to either my emails or phone calls. I told him that I have been in touch with an attorney, and that I need to hear back from one of them today. He said ok, and hung up. The working phone number is 516.797.7700 and/or 877.482.7738 The fax is 516.804.3492 and/or 866.361.8770
