I personally handled this client's design and worked with him for a very long time. The $550 we received from him was for a single kitchen design (under our paid design service) and not for samples. We did many additional designs of his space at no extra charge (totaling over $1,200 design time). We also sent him many samples with shipping costs that far exceeded our average client (FEDEX bill over $280). He found fault with all the samples we sent. Most of the faults were extremely minute due to imperfections in the nature of wood (wood is not perfect). This is the only customer in 25 years that we were fearful we would never be able to make happy (yes there are rare difficult customers out there). I regret that the process turned out the way that it did, but we were loosing money rapidly and could not seem to please him. We did not refund his $550 fee because he did take full advantage of our national award winning design service in which he agreed to(he has multiple plans that we created). It is rare, but some customers are impossible to please.
