Learning with Laptop in Los Angeles is ripoff. It charges $80.00 for you to be fingerprinted using only their people and they jazzed you up about tutoring, then they put you through two days of training without pay, and ask you for you for all kinds of personal information including your social security number, birthdate and credit-card information.
Then, if you're lucky to get one students assigned to you for tutoring, you has to be constantly be calling the parents until both parties are connected for a meeting. it is usually 15 to 20 miles away from where you live in a non-english speaking home and, with the price of gasoline in Los Angeles, you are responsible for your own way to get to and from the student home without reimbursement
You're responsible for all supplies, and gasoline while tutoring the student, you are told you will be paid $17.00 an hour and have to wait six weeks to receive a paycheck. They paperwork is very hectic and if you complete your assignment, they are sure to find some reason not to pay you.
That's what happened to me. So, basically you're used as a tutor advance without any financial support and you have to go through a lot to get your money from them. That what happen to me. I basically got screwed. Work without pay!
