Academy Sports And Outdoors unfair firing of minor Spartanburg South Carolina
My son has worker for academy sports for 7 months. He never recieved the raise even though he was promissed after 3 months of employment he would be recieving one. He worked any time he was called in and only called in a couple of times for health reasons. I was in the store with his cousin and she asked if she could use his discount he said ok but he could not ring her out so she went to a lady at the register next to him.She bought a pair of adidas sandels saving $2.00. My son was then called into the back room and told he was lucky no one called the police since allowing family to use his discount was stealing. I then called the manager on duty D***d who told me employee discount were for husbands and wives and children, so I guess if you are a teen the discount they tell you about is a lie. They are also refusing to give my son his pay check with in the required sc law of 48 hours. I know I will never shop there again and I will make sure to let everyone know how unfairly they treat the kids who really do the work.

If your kid is old enough to work why are you involved? Did your kid read the policies? If someone took $2.00 from you without your permission is it stealing? Instead of your kid learning something from doing something wrong you make him out as being treated wrong. It is always someone elses fault!
