This company is very deceitful in its advertising. Before even considering ordering from them, please check out their advertisement and disclosures completely.

I ordered a "free trial" from this company for a shipping charge of only $4.95. Approx. 14 days later, I received a sealed 30 day supply bottle from the same company. No packing slip was enclosed. I checked my credit cards for any charges and found nothing. Then in another approx. 30 days, I received another sealed 30 day supply of this product. Again, no packing slip was enclosed. I checked my credit cards again and found nothing. I then checked my checking account and lo and behold, there were the charges. Two separate charges of $69.95 each. Talk about a shocker. I never charge anything over the internet using my debit card. I don't know what came over me by doing this. I immediately contacted my bank and explained to them that these were unauthorized charges. They were very understanding and stated that they would remove the charges and file a "dispute". The operator further told me that she (personally) had taken 4 previous calls on the same day for this very same thing.

After hanging up with my bank, I tried to call one of the numbers they gave to me. I was on hold for 45 minutes and finally hung up. Today (1/14/09), I called the number again - 866/376-4078 (this time from my cell phone) and someone answered. First of all the person I spoke with, Enric, was very hard to understand. He would not provide me with a number so that I could return the product. The bottom line is, he tells me they will not take product back, under any circumstances. After my persistence, he told me I could send it back in its original envelope marked "return to sender". However, they would return it back to me. I questioned the address on the envelope, Cheshunt Overseas LTD, 1285 Baring Blvd., #297, Sparks, NV 89434. This is "The UPS Store" and the #297 is a box #. He confirmed that it was a box #.

I explained to Enric that Better Business Bureau's complaint history states "Although, Acai Berry Boom responds to most complaints by fully refunding the consumer's money, they never address the common reason that customers are requesting the refund in the fiirst place". Enric claimed he never heard of the Better Business Bureau. When I asked him what country he was from (because of his accent and he didn't know about BBB), he stated that he was in TX. Better Business Bureau's complaint history also states "the company has a pattern of complaints concerning unauthorized charges to consumer's credit cards". This company has so many locations and goes under many different names. One of the disclaimers under terms and conditions printed by this company states that "you will be billed the super low price of......". This is a misleading statement. I never saw a bill from this company. They automatically deducted the amounts from my checking account and never even sent me an invoice by email or with the product.

This is definately a BUYER BEWARE scheme.

I'll wait and see if they deduct more money from my account (even though I have cancelled).

Any reputable company will offer a 100% guarantee and stand behind their product.

I believe a class action suit is in order for this company.

Anna California has the best consumer protection laws in the country. I would file a complaint with the attorney general in CA. When you do a BBB on Cheshunt Overseas it verifies what you said about the P.O. Box. They are also known as Real Solutions who is running a myhoodiacut website with the same terms except they sucker you into $69.95 per month for their so called brand of Hoodiacut. Real Solutions has a trademark infringement lawsuit filed against them by Virkson Research if you look on the Hoodiacut website. This is another case too of where consumers don't read the Terms and Conditions tab at the bottom of their websites. It says they will automatically enroll you in their monthly billing program within 14 days of placing the order which if you figure the turnaround time for them to ship the order and it to get to you, they are have already ripped you off for $59.95 or $69.95 before you can even get the product and finish the so called trial amount. These people are down right crooks and complaints need to be filed with the attorney general's office in CA, Nevada, Florida, and whatever else places they have ripped others off including the FTC.
