Brandsmart sent me to their office which sits right in their location. I went ahead and used their services for a 90 day payment and they would charge 12%. I did direct billing through the bank. They did not tell you that if you do not pay the full amount including all of the interest on that last payment they go back to a type of rent to own as if you had not paid anything. They never changed the billing so the client knows that their last payment is higher, and they certainly dont notify you. What happened is that now when I asked how much do I owe they said $800.00 This was the original price of the refrigerator. I will have paid double the cost of the item due to Brandsmart shady practice to recommend this service. It doesnt matter what office you call their customer service is that of a shady organization. I went to them not because of low credit, but I had maxed out my available credit with the repairs at that time. Dont get fooled by this shady practice as I was. I am still fighting this. The manager for that office is Alex Becerra and the advisors hardly speak English to be able to take this to the proper authorities.

 

As I said previously, Acceptance Now is inside the Brandsmart stores.  They will send you to the office of Acceptance now as one of their partners in financing.  This is the shadiest operation and I am totatly in awe of the fact that this practice is condoned by bransdmart.

I had maxed out my credit in a remodeling of my moms house.  I was purchasing a refrigerator which was $800 plus other applicances.  The clerk at Brandsmart told me, you know for the refrigerator you can put in on the Acceptance Now card and you will be able to get everything done.  I spoke to an Alex Becerra who is the Acceptance Now Manager at office number 5967 of Brandsmart location off US1 in Miami Florida.

It is a 90 day plan and I went ahead and put it on direct billing.  What happened was that at the end of the 90 day period you dont get notified that their is a final balance, and if you make your regular payment you are totally messed up.

The contract then goes back to the begining with a rent to own contract.  After 5 additional months and a total of 9 months of payments I now still owe $800 which is what the refrigerator cost.  I called when I realized of their very deceptive practice only to be told that there is nothing that I can do.

How is Brandsmart allowing this deception to happen.  Not only allowing it but condoning it.  I want for people to know and stay away from this.  I also want this company to look at their records and pay off my account.

I have repeatedly called your corporate office and no one knows who to transfer me to. Just today I once again spoke to your branch manager at that branch in miami! Alex Becerra, after one of your agents said and I quote "is this maria? What's your credit card number? My account is paid directly thru my bank. as I previously stated Brandsmart is allowing your operations I their stores and it is a definite ripoff.  My case is well documented I called your corporate headquarters in Dec 2015 prior to my contract being up, and I was never told what the amount was. Your agents at this particular Brandsmart on US1 in miami don't speak English and have 0 training on how to deal with clients.  You have my contact information and I am asking for a manager of your corporate location to call me.  My next step is the BBB.

 These types of deals are common place. The interest free provision is very clearly defined amongst its terms and conditions in the contract which you agreed to. Quite obviously you didn't even bother to read said contract to see what you were agreeing to!
