I called this company on October 4, 2011 with the complaint being, my washer was only working on the cold cycle and my
dryer was taking too long to dry. This information is documented on my work order/receipt written out per Accurate Appliance (copies of if it interested). The Tech performed his diagnostic and informed me that my dryer needed a heating element
and that this would cost $289.95. I explained to the technician that I would rather spend three hundred dollars towards a new dyer versus a repair. The Tech then informed me that if I were to buy a front loading machine it would cost me way
more to repair then the machine I currently owned, as it uses computer parts.
This may be true but it felt as if he was trying to persuade my decision. I paid the company and thanked him for his help. As he left my home I removed my clothes from the washer and placed them in the dryer. My dryer made a loud screeching sound and shut itself off within seconds. This all happened within five minutes of the Tech leaving my home. I immediately called
Accurate Appliance and spoke with the dispatcher. She told me to hold on that she would call the tech and try to stop him. She asked if she could call me right back. The Dispatcher did not call me back I had to call her. I first called back after ten minutes and then again in twenty minutes. At this time I could only contact their voicemail. I asked my Girlfriend to call using her Dallas phone number because I felt I was being ignored, sure enough they answered her call. At that time the Dispatcher explained to my girlfriend that they do not provide a warranty on their diagnostic only their parts!
Wow, unlike their ad states this was not honest service, this tech broke my dryer and would not come back. The $89.95 dollar fee I was charged for them to break my dryer was minimal and Im thankful that this amount was all this company could rip me off for. I was actually concerned enough that I canceled that particular credit card. I did not want to offer an opportunity for any other type of fraud.
Please know that I am doing all I can to make sure no one I know ever uses this company. I will be a craiglisting, facebooking, tweeting maniac until I know all my friends are aware of the type of service this company provided me with.
Attatched is a letter I found on rip off reportdot com.. People it really does pay to research before you buy!!

Do not use Accurate Appliance, they post in Craigslist and other places to drum up business. They told me that they would charge
me for an initial consultation, but that comes off the actual repair cost. They also keep a huge inventory of parts on hand for appliance repair for all major manufacturers. I called and setup an appointment, was told they would be out the next day, but
would call in the morning to firm up the exact time. At about noon, I finally called them to ask when they were coming, and was told it would be @2p. They showed up around 3, had NO parts on hand, even though I gave them part numbers and model numbers the day before and had given a good description of the issues my appliances were having.
The repairman said... yea, looks like the compressor is bad on the ice machine, and the magnetron is bad on the microwave. He said he would drop-off the report to the office and I will get a call back the next day with a quote for repair and the $75 I paid would be deducted from the final repair bill.
I never got a call the next day, so I called them. They said they had "typo'd my phone number so couldnt call me". I thought, no problem, and asked how much it was going to cost and how soon could they come out to perform the repair. She said she would have to get back with me later that day. 2 days later, I called back wondering what was going on. She said... yea, well, can't find the parts, been discontinued. The appliances are 4 yrs old, and both cost over $2,000. Not believing her, I went online and found both a compressor and Magnetron online for my exact model numbers. They said they had plenty in stock and whoever told me differently doesnt know what they are talking about. So I called the company and told them nicely, that I had found a place that has both parts I need, and I will even order the parts myself and have them shipped to my house, I just need to get one of your technicians out to actually perform the repair.
And if they didnt work like that, then that was fine and they could tag on a parts fee and I would understand.
Almost a week went by I still hadn't heard a peep from this company. I called again and was told that Ella, the lady who I had been speaking with who kept giving me the run around, was out of town all week so I had to wait for her to return.
They just collected my initial fee, spent 15min looking at my appliances and then just took off with my money. The check was cashed the next day, so I was not able to cancel payment on the check. I expect that I will just end up sucking it up and losing $75, but I hope if you happen to look at this company, you will just pick one of the other 5000 appliance repair shops in Dallas.
