On August 4, 2014, I had applied for a short term loan with Ace Cash Express on their website, www.acecashexpress.com, which I had worked with in the past.  I received a notification email on 8/5/2014 that the loan had been approved and to contact Russell Hobbs, Senior Loan Officer at (909) 666-5894.  Because of potential scams, I verified the information on the email with the website and it all looked legitimate. I then emailed him and asked for him to send the information and necessary documentation.  He replied and stated that I would need to contact them by phone to complete the process. 

The afternoon of 8/5/2014, I contacted Mr. Hobbs and he provided my correct name, phone number, address, social security number, bank routing number, and checking account number to me, stating that he had the information from my previous application online.  He stated that the loan was approved for $1,000 and payments would be $92.50 per month for (12) months.  He then stated that he would contact the accounting department and call within the hour.  At 2:36 p.m. he called and stated that in order to provide the necessary proof for the loan, I would need to obtain a “reloadit” card at a participating retailer, then call them upon receipt.  Needless to say it is a total scam and I have tried contacting Ace Cash but they will not respond.  Because they had my personal information, I am led to believe that Ace Cash is selling information and/or their system's security is failing.
