The best way to combat companies such as these is to file a complaint through the FBI at the Internet Crime Complaint Center (www.ic3.gov). The more complaints logged with the FBI, the faster the company will get shut down. In most cases, the owners of companies like these have done this before or have even been convicted of fraud before. Don't let them get away with it! REPORT IT!

I live in Hollywood and know many struggling actors, models, dancers, artists etc.
My neighbor as a matter of fact does occasionally get parts as an extra. He told me once in a while it pays..but usually you are just there all day and get a free meal..but on the bright side, the meal is good. My roomate and I were actually going to get a small part on a TV show..it didn't pan out but we did get a few phone interviews and communication...not because we paid to post a portfolio...but because we know the right person.
You see, there are no shortages of actors, extras, dancers etc. So, there is no need for any casting director to look on the internet for random portfolios..that is not the way it is done.
Only 3 ways to get a part really..and NONE of them will require you to pay any online scam service.
1..and this is the toughest...get an agent.
2...meet people...it is who you know here...not who you pay. You know the right person, you get a call.
3....the paper will advertise when they are holding open auditions for extras..it won't be hard to find..it will be the place with the line going around the block.
Sorry you got suckered...it happens to many unfortunately in this field as it is not easy to get a break so everyone is desperate and vulnerable.
