This company is NOT professional.  They are manipulative.  Their contract when you dispute something is what appears to be in their opinion a suggestion not a fact.  When you hear 'finished in 120 days' or see it in writing it is not, as they say, a guarentee. Again a suggestion.   In the meantime you are paying a bank interest for everyday they can extend the build.  Those payments are usless as far as equity in your future home is concerned.  You might just as well stand there and hand them cash for no apparent reason. 

They have you sign as part of the agreement that you will be "lot ready" within 120 days of signing the contract or they can increase the price of the house due to "material cost increases"; they don't make it very clear that they can take up to 60 days of that time in "drafting" when they are selling cookie cutter houses. 

The superintendent on our job sent what we think was a drunk text late one evening telling us how hard he was working and  we didn't appreciate him.  He then implied, again in our opinion, that if we didn't appreciate him then maybe the job would take longer than anticipated. 

Poor quality of work.  An extreme amount of left-over mnaterials that the sub-contractors were willing to take back but would not supply a reciept. 

House was "complete" the first of July it is now nearly mid August and the front door doen's lock properly.  The roof valleys do not alighn with the gutters and they have no idea how to fix that. 

Out of 117 work days (no holidays or weekends are included in that figure) we had workers on site for 42, but we paid insterest on our construction loan for those days when no work was being done.

  Contacted as many administrators of this company as I could find, they don't make it easy to contact anyone in upper management. but to no avail.  One even said back in mid- winter that he would come by to talk with us and see the issues for himself, he never showed up.  Most did not return calls or emails unless threatened with legal action.    

We cannot believe that they are still in business with these types of customer service issues.  If we could do it again we probably wouldn't becasue of this expreience.

 

Our retirement dream became a nightmare thanks to Adair.
