A friend of mine had bought an "AKC" REGISTERED female yorkie puppy from this ADAM ELLIS that she could no longer keep due to her work schedule and living situation, so I reimbursed her some of her money "buying the puppy" from her. I to have a male that is registered and came from a very repituable breeder, my friend insisted I look into mating the two insisting "her breeder" informed her this female came from a " great pedigree" of yorkie bloodline. I considered the fact and consulted my breeder, she recomended I research the breeder the pup came from file for the pedigree with AKC and perform some routine vetting brfore proceeding. I tried to research this ADAM ELLIS and found nothing, not even a web site. I kinda figured it was a newspaper adversted pup. She did have the papers on the pup , but I found nothing.

Before I continues I consulted my vet and found out this 8 month old baby had a significant open fontanelle( meaning her soft spot never closed) this is considered a birth defect in yorkies and should be avoided when breeding. I causes Fluid to build up on the brain and can cause nerve and neroligical damage. Behavior issues most common in pup mills. Which answered my vets question as to why she still had dew claws and only one set of shots at the age of 7 months, and a tail so short we thought it was her butt. These pups can live without problems but should NEVER be breed. This breeder ovbiously had never given shots, or even provided any vet care prior to selling which is common in mills as well.

A good breeder starts shots at 6 weeks, has the dew claws removed, provides a quality tail dock, breeds away from defects, dosnt give full rights on pups with genetic issues and has a vet check done before ever selling a pup. This breeder ovbiously is only in it for the money and provided minium to no care prior to selling.

Fortunally, I had gotten the pup and respect the breed enough to do my homework and prevented her from passing on a potentially deadly defect. This DISEASE can cause loads of issues that no pup should never endure. Aside from mild neuro issues she is fine and will have a very happy life with me.

The complaint is others have bought from this breeder and these are NOT "show quality" pups and possibly have majior medical issues. PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE research any breeder you consider and make sure not to breed any pup with genetic issues!!!! AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS BREEDER AS WE HAVE ESTABLISHED HE/SHE DOSNT CARE ABOUT THE BREED NOR THE PUPS THEY SELL> THIS IS POTENTIALLY A PUPPY MILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
