Adriennes Restaurant

Route 220

Sonestown PA

On Sunday, September 9, 2007 at approximately 5:00 P.M. my friend and I ordered their special, Roasted Pork and Sauerkraut dinners. After about 15 minutes the waitress brought our dinners with a freshly baked mini loaf of bread, which was cold inside; it wasnt freshly baked, just heated in an oven or broiler. We immediately noticed that the pork was dried out and burnt on the edges. Even the Sauerkraut was dry and burnt as though it had been placed under a broiler to reheat. The waitress left and said that she would check with the cook.

She never came back with a replacement no did she offer to substitute something else. We ate what we could, leaving about 80% of the pork and some of the dried and burnt Sauerkraut. Again when leaving and paying the bill I again mentioned the fact that we were dissatisfied with the service and food. She snapped back, Well you ate it. I told her to check the plates and she would see the burnt and dried meat that we left on the plates.

Do yourself a favor and skip this place when dinning out; poor food and service.

Overcooked/burnt food sometimes happens at almost any eaterie - the good ones catch it and won't try to serve it. Why eat it? I wouldn't! Why not simply tell the server that the food is unacceptable and get up and leave? If you absolutely have to eat right then and now, simply ask for the manager on duty and explain that the food is unacceptable and ask that it be made over. If they won't do that, get up and leave!
