I can't get out. They will let you contact them, but do not have any page, phone number, or address to quit your membership. I've been stuck paying for a service I no longer want or need, but can't get out of. This is not the only outfit that is like this, but one of the worst.

Turn off Auto Renew...

Kieth: It's just like Doug says. Turn the Auto Renew setting to OFF and your membership will lapse and no payment will be taken from your credit card. I have done this twice in the past with no problems whatsoever. I am a female AFF member from the UK and most definitely NOT a site employee.

The only way to effectively cancel with any Friend Finder site is to call your credit card company and have a chargeback issued. If you use email or the phone, that is their trigger to start charging you a higher rate for one of their other sites. Once they start doing this, it is almost impossible to stop them. Don't get caught in that trap! Simply, save the time and money, and call your credit card company, not them!

These guys are big time crooks and the courts will catch up with them eventually.

I have been with Aff for 3 years now with fantastic success. I do not like the spam adds but non the less my wife and I have met several really nice people some to swing and some just became friends.

As for cancelling it's easy, just go to your profile update and under auto renew click no. We did this in times past when we kind of lost interest in swinging for a while and our membership once it ran out was downgraded to "standard" membership.

We also turned off our profile with no problems for a time, and even removed our profile all through the update page. NO service like this is perfect, and neither are any of the people I know. So if people are running it it is inherently imperfect, but none the less a great service.

Their help section lists (even for non-members) a question on "How do I cancel recurring membership?"- at this URL:

You have to update your profile. Keep a record of when you did this; take a screen capture and/or printout of the cancel confirrmation.

If it doesn't work, contact your bank/CC company and tell them to block payment. If AFF tries to pursue, you've got all you need to prove you did cancel.
