My husband and I go out to eat. We try to use our Advanta card and it is declined. We've always had perfect payment history, never even CLOSE to our credit limit of $5,000. Our current balance is about $1,325. So we call Advanta Friday evening... their customer service is so bad, they are not even available. So we call again Saturday. Turns out that they just up and decided to decrease our credit limit to $1,350!

We own a small photography business. So let's say our camera breaks. We now don't have a high enough limit on our BUSINESS CREDIT CARD to buy a new one! AND, now our credit saturation on this card is 99%, which makes our credit look bad! So now my credit score is going to go down because it looks like I'm very close to my limit on this card, when in actuality, I was doing quite well!

Advanta did send us a letter. We received it the day after the phone call. We got no email and no message or alert on our online account. So after an embarrassing display at the restaurant, and finally getting to the bottom of this, you better BELIEVE we are transferring the $1,325 balance to a new card company and cancelling immediately with Advanta.

Not happy!
