AFNI, Inc Fraudulent Bill for Verizon Communications Ripoff Bloomington Illinois
Received a bill today for AFNI, Inc, collections notice for some Verizon Communications bill. It's for a phone number I don't recognize although it could be one I had over 12 years ago since it's in Dahlgren, VA. I did have a Verizon or GTE account at one time. Thank God I look this up on this site (ripoffreport.com). I've used your service before and am going to send this company a registered letter telling them this is a fraudulent account and if they want to prove otherwise, they can provide proof of the bill/detail. Otherwise, I will notify the FTC of their activity.
Why can't we stop companies like this from doing this sort of thing. Not only is it fraudulent, they are abusing public information as well as wasting peoples valuable time. I'm sure there are some people out there that don't know better and actually pay these things!
