All you need now is for "proudafnicollector" to come along and tell you how stupid you are and how good AFNI is! His derogatory comments are on other AFNI complaints.

As i have pointed out, i am not going to tolerate any abuse from a collector, especially like Afni.
If a collector has to resort deliberately falsifying records, dates etc. to squeeze money which i do not
owe. deserve much less than nothing!
After i became aware of what these......... weeell lets keep it clean, why sink to their level, right?
i filed consumer complaints with state attorney of Illinois -- where they have their "corporate office".
from now on i will affectionately refer to as the "cesspool" state attorney of california, FTC and BBB.
I received an email from BBB advising me that Afni has responded to their notification of my complaint
and urging me to look at it, make a copy and let them know if i buy their drivel. I did. i checked to
find this "explanation" of what was going on. I would love someone to tell me what is it that it is saying.... names omitted by me:
This is in response to your letter to Afni, Inc., regarding the above referenced matter. We appreciate your assistance in bringing our consumer's concerns to our attention. In that regard, on or about March 2001, AT&T notified Afni the above referenced account remained due and owing from Mr.XXXXXX. This account was established on March 1, 2008 and was considered delinquent by the creditor on October 24, 2008. The service address for the account was his still-current address.
The communication through the Better Business Bureau, as well as his simultaneous multiple emails to various people within Afni, is the first indication that Mr.XXXXX disputes the account, despite an initial notice being mailed to his current address on April 22, 2011. In response, I have requested an investigation and validation to be mailed directly to the consumer. This may take up to 30 days. He is welcome to manage his account online at XXXXXX or call a Consumer Relations Specialist at (866) 716-1284. Thank you.
Sincerely,

After i read this i felt insulted by the BBB..... did they really think i would read this with a straight face and dignify it by responding in all seriousness.... C'mon people.... Bush couldn't get it
this screwed up in four terms..... OH I FORGOT! on top there was bunch of numbers and the
word Verizon. so the claim is: ATT got in touch with Afni in reference to Verizon in 2001
about a service that was started 2008, and finally Afni got around to notify me in 2011
Are these people serious? i don't know but with that in hand, afni proceeded to flag my files
at credit reporting agencies with "COLLECTIONS" notice...
