I used to work for an insurance company that sent 25,000 file to AFNI to handle. They do have a separate division from the collection dept that handles only subrogation insurance claims. The folks in the subrogation dept are a helluva lot easier to deal with than the jerks in the collections dept. You want to talk to somebody in their St. Charles, MO office. They always seemed to be the most helpful when I dealt with them. The # is 888-879-6814. The manager is Paul Foust, but most anybody should be able to help. That office may not handle this file but they should still be able to help you. They have to provide you with documentation proving your sister was involved and have to prove the amount of damages claimed. Ask AFNI for the police report or whatever else they have proving your sister or her vehicle were involved. If she was involved have them send you a copy of the damage estimate and photos of the damages. If your sister was involved report turn the AFNI you receive from AFNI into her auto insurance company. If she did not have insurance and owes the damages she can ask for a monthly payment plan. Good Luck.

I never heard of a collection agency, collecting on an auto accident, generally insurance companies handle claims. and they get attorney's involved, License info, is easy to obtain, if you know the tag, then you have the address. or access to the LETS system, Try contacting the THP or state police which ever its called there, see if a claim was made on your sister insurance. contact the insurance commission, send this collection agency (RRR), for all the information, they have on file. Tell them you want a copy of the accident report, case number and the law enforcement agency that wrote the report, if there making a claim of auto accident they must have these. and the name and address of the person who was in the accident with your sister, there insurance info, all this should be on the police report, don't give them any information until you get this, do not fill out a fraud report with the collection agency.
