A family member had some trouble on 16JUN09 and was arrested. I called Freddie at Against All Odds Bail Bonds and paid him $500 over the phone with my Visa. At the same time unknown to me that family member had already paid the bond with another company himself.

A few calls and two weeks later, I get a sloppy hand written note and a money order for $200. The note was from Freddie and said he would give me the rest when his surety company sends the money back to him. It has been one month now and nothing.

I called twice and left voicemails but he doesn't return them. I used a friends phone and what do you know....he answered! I told him who I was and asked him about it and told me it would be another week or so and HUNG UP on me!!

Once you hire a bonding agent to write a bond and he executed it there is NO REFUND OF THE PREMIUM PAID it is considered earned; the error was yours not his. He did a job and executed a bail bond for you on behalf of your criminal realitive and is entitled to payment for services rendered in full.

Your lucky he gave you any of the Premium back; I would not have been so generous, in fact if the $500 was only a partial payment for the premium and there was a balance due he has the legal right to bill you card for the remaining balance due.

Take your $200 bucks and count yourself lucky that he was willing to give a partial refund. Im sure his insurance company riped him a new one for doing it and he was stuck paying them the full amoun the owned. I would say that the $200 he gave you was his comission for writting the bond and the rest went to the insurance company!
