When I first contacted Agent Image about a semi-custom website, they explained that I could have the first page a "custom" page. They told me to email them some examples of websites I like so they can get get an idea of what I want my website to look like. I showed them several examples. Many of the examples from Agent Image's semi-custom website examples. The first on I showed them they told me would cost extra because it involved drawings, not pictures, so I changed my example to a map of Tampa. Again, I was told that flash maps would be an additional $500 or so. Then she suggested I draw her a layout of what I wanted it to look like and that they would use it as an example. I drew the layout and picked out the pictures, and was supposed to write the content or they would charge me $100 a page for the content. They also told me to provide them with my logo. I didn't have a logo so I would have had to pay extra for the logo if I wanted it. The extra charges is one of my mian problems. They use these beautiful examples that no one would think of on their own and then when you think you are going to get something equally creative they ask you to come up with your own layout, colors, pictures, content, etc. I thought the purpose of this was to get a branded website. If you read the description of what their semi custom package includes on agent image's website it says: Semi-Custom designs are hybrid sites; they include a customized, home page with all the contents and features of an AgentPro. Meet with a qualified web consultant to create your own uniquely branded look & feel as well as to offer you advice on the next move online. What they don't tell you is all of that costs extra. You are not allowed to move the position of the tabs or have drop down tabs with subcategories, unless you want to pay extra. All of these items would have been nice to know before I purchased.

They also say you have control of the back end of the website. Bull. You have to email them anything you want to add beyond text....any links have to be added by them, and pictures that you want in a different spot have to be emailed, you can't even change the colors or anything. They also say they provide you with communities pages. That is not what I experienced. I was writing all of my community pages. The IDX also costs extra. Here's the problem, Agent Image uses a smaller template on the interior pages so there is a good 2-3 inches of wasted space on each side the screen. This makes the font and pictures very small. I understand the concept of square monitors, but the interior pages are still smaller than any other website I have ever been on. I also asked them about adding words behind the pictures on the front page so that google can see the pages better, and they had no idea what I as talking about.

Google search any of the website examples they use on their website and you will not find any of them on the front page of google. I only found one and they told me she spent almost $10,000 to make that happen. For most of us that is not in our budget.

I called them right after I signed up and saw how much time and effort it was taking on my end. I tried to cancel and they told me it was non-refundable. In addition, they started charging me $40 for hosting fees for a website that was never up and running. I was charged for almost a year. I tried to cancel three times and three times I was told it was too late. I was not aware that I could cancel the hosting part until I spoke with Jennifer about a month ago. I did not pursue it until now bc I was told there was nothing they could do about a refund.

I spoke to Ervin or some similar name. He told me he would have an answer regarding agent image refunding me for my unfinished website in a few weeks. They never called me back. I called again and spoke with him again. He said he would check on the status and get back with me later that afternoon. I still did not get a call back from him. I called again a few weeks later and he told me he would call me back in 30 minutes. I never got a phone call back from them.

Be careful before you waste your money. The website looks pretty on the first page, but there is a lot more work involved than they mention and their ad is misleading. would not recommend them.

ITS EASY TO COPY A LITTLE SENTENCE TO SAY SOMEONE WAS "HAPPY" WITH A LITTLE CHANGE IN THEIR SITE. MAYBE THE INITIAL PAGE, OR INITIAL DESIGN. BUT THE TRUTH IS, AGENT IMAGE = RIPOFF = DESIGN PEOPLE.

WHY WOULD SO MANY CONSUMERS HAVE THE SAME COMPLAINT OVER AND OVER AGAIN?

THE WORK IS NOT FINISHED, THEY PROMISE TO DELIVER THE SITE WITHIN A FEW MONTHS AND IT WILL TAKE FOREVER UNTIL YOU JUST DECIDE TO PAY SOMEONE ELSE AND REALIZE YOU WASTED ALL YOUR TIME AND EFFORTS FOR NOTHING.

I HAD SIMILAR HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THEY MADE SO MANY PROMISES TO GET MY MONEY AND AFTER THAT, THEY JUST DIDN'T CARE. ALL AGENT IMAGE/DESIGN PEOPLE ARE AFTER IS YOUR MONEY, THEY WONT SERVICE YOU.

AGENT IMAGE/DESIGN PEOPLE ARE A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. HORRIBLE COMPANY.

In response to Amanda Siftar, Sales Associate at Smith & Associates Real Estate in Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida Area, as of June 1, 2009, the initial homepage design was completed and delivered. In response to seeing her homepage design comp, Amanda wrote on 6/30/2009 at 8:54:24 AM to her Project Manager, Rachel, "I love it!!! I see where the verbiage needs adjusting but overall it looks great."

It's unfortunate that somewhere between this email where Ms. Siftar was incredibly happy with her website, that it led to the posts here.  We researched the account from June 1, 2009 on to see what could have transpired.

After the delivery of the initial comp, Amanda stated she had feedback for the homepage design which Rachel was waiting for. Rachel continued to follow-up with Amanda in July, August and September 2009 with often little or no response from Amanda. Amanda went MIA after September and did not contact us back until June 2010.

If Ms. Siftar can provide any emails that she sent to anyone at our company from July - Sept 2009, we would be happy to revisit any resolution she might want moving forward.

We are happy to provide Ms. Siftar with any custom design work that we've already completed for her and her website project will remain on file and she can reactivate the project at anytime in the future.

We wish her the best of luck in the future.
