Brian Colombana and Tuan Dinh Duong are back at it again, this time with a student loan, company called Aidnest, it also goes by Aiding Student Relief, or Impetus Enterprise Corporation. They have a team of people out there to phish for social security numbers, FSA login info, online account information for loanholders of federal loans, as well as your banking information and social security numbers. They have offices in Cali, Colombia, Bogata Colombia, and at 1651 E 4th Street, Santa Ana, CA, Suite 124. Brian Colombana stays in Columbia now amd Than Dinh Doung operates the santa ana office with Brenda Avita Pena and Peter Lagaris. Both Colombana and Duong have been barred from working in the unsecured and secured debt industry. Their call centers will tell you they are part of the US department of education to get you to pay for federal student loan forgiveness, through the us department of education's website, fsa.ed.gov. They will change your account information so you cannot access it and charge you upfront fees for doing nothing whatsoever. They will have you sign a contract issuing them power of attorney, they will, use your social security number. If contacted by aidnest, submit a complaint to ic3.gov, and the us department of education's office of attorney general at 1-800-647-8733. They also run another operation where they claim to be a government entity known as "Office of Asset Reclamation" (assetreclamation.org) where they say that if you pay them they will give you government grants you didnt know you had. Complete waste of time and comparable to Indian scammers. If called, record their phonecalls, be nice, let them say they are affiliated with the us department of education. Let them lie. Take that recording and send,it to the us department of education office of attorney general, and ic3.gov.

I recently referred a few colleagues of mine to use Aidnest, as I have been with them as a client for almost 2 years now. I became compelled to write a comment here because some of those colleagues//friends I referred saw some comments on this site and were having second thoughts. The company is not the best at immediate call backs, I definitely had to call them a few times, but they eventually got back to me (but even AT&T is just as bad). However, they do what they say they're going to do. I am a teacher and not even the school I work for tried to help me have my loans forgiven through the PSLF program, my place of work didn't inform me very much on my options. And although, you can do this process on your own, companies such as this one, do this for hundreds of people daily, so they know all the in's and out's of student loan Federal programs. I just felt better going with a company that does this for people all the time. Now, the number one reason I KNOW that Aidnest is not a scam is because they emailed me a contract where I was able to read thoroughly the terms and conditions before I signed. And I have now been using their service for close to 2 years. I was aware the whole time that they aren't the department of education, and my case manager, never tried to mislead me into thinking that they were them. And I now only have 8 more years to keep paying on my loan before all of it is forgiven, as long as I keep working for the Government for the next 8 years. Now I know I am paying them to monitor my loans but this gives me peace of mind. They contacted me last year to renew me into the PSLF program and I recently received an email stating that my renewal is coming up in a few months. So, they are on top of it. I am content using this company and I do recommend it to my colleagues and friends.
