I hired AIS Dependable Movers after asking them many questions and recording the phone call. Almost everything that they told me was a lie, including their name.

I asked them if they went by any other names. The response was "no". I later found that they did when $795.00 appeared on my credit card place by a company that I never heard of. Later I learned it was another of their names.

They stated in their sales pitch that the company was family owned. Every employee was family. They had a record of zero damage claims (uh huh). The price included taking down and setting up bedding, etc. Everything breakable and your couch cushions would be padded and shrink wrapped.

NONE of the above was true.

They were supposed to arrive at 10 am for a move they said would take 5 to 6 hours to load the truck. They showed up at 7 and night and it took until 6 am the next morning to finish. Needless to say the neighbors in our apartment complex that were trying to sleep were complaining.

B.J. the mover is NOT related to anyone at AIS. He showed up in a Ryder truck that he rented. At least he was honest about that. We knew nothing about him at all. Off went the truck with our furniture and it showed up at the new place five days later.

Where was the truck with all our belongings at for 5 days in the heat, who knows?

There was a charge of $100.00 to put the beds back together in spite of the fact we were told that was included in the price. All the mattresses and box springs had damage. A lamp was destroyed. There are marks and dents on various pieces of furniture.

Three months later nothing is fixed.

Oh, I forgot to mention, we had $50,000.00 of insurance on our belongings, at no cost to us, as the sales person so proudly exclaimed during her sales pitch.

This company is a joke. Who knows who these people are they send to your place, what time they are going to arrive and if you will ever see your furniture again.

Rest assured. If it is damaged it will NOT be repaired.

I have had so much trouble with moving companies I don't care how careful I have been before hiring them. I honestly think that this is by far the most scum riddled profession out there.

DO NOT HIRE AIS / RIVERA! You would be better off getting together a bunch of friends, anything is better than these people.

If I wasn't so angry at finding so many victims of this company I would be laughing at the stupidity of AIS UnDependable Movers. They victimize endless people with the same fraudulent inducements and the same acts of negligence. Hey Sandra, Dora or Reynaldo, I wasn't making idle threats. As instructed by my lawyer I sent you a demand letter. The matter was not up for negotiation. I am a victim of fraud and negligence by your company, PERIOD! You made your decision as to the way you wanted to handle this and based upon that decision I made mine. I did sign my lawsuit documents on Monday. I will be seeing you people in court. I will be awarded 3 times my damages and attorney's fees. This is going to cost you people a lot of money. I say you people because I no longer know who to address in your "family." Dora is the registered owner, Cpt Reynaldo Rivera has contacted me and said he is the owner, Sandra is "the family." It is going to be so much fun watching your "family" get slammed in court. Judges and juries hate liars. I am glad that you received the tape with the excerpts of our many conversations. I can't wait to play the tapes in their entirety in court. I can't wait to put them on the website currently under construction. My lawyer is willing to do a class action. I have been contacted by a couple other AIS UnDependable Mover's victims. I will hold off filing my case for a couple weeks to see how many more people that we can put together. We could all file this together in federal court. Those interested contact me ASAP. We could bankrupt this company. It will be a slam dunk. None of us know each other, yet we all tell the same story. Remember when fraud is involved you get treble damages. That is three times the cost of your move and three times the damages to your furniture. You will also get your attorney's fees. From what I have seen on the various websites, there are many, many victims of this company. Do not forget to file complaints with the Attorney General and the agency that oversees moves in the place you moved from and the place you moved to. In Texas it is the Texas Department of Transportation. This company is by far the worst moving company that I have ever seen and I have seen a lot, as I have been a court reporter for a long time.

Blake, We have made many attempts asking for a dollar amount of damages you state that you have. You have refused to give us that information for the hope of the company to reimbursement your whole move, I can assure you this is not an option. We would happily pay the for the mattresses and lamp and anything else you say that we have damaged. Again, legally we have a two day window on the contract you signed. Our drivers showed up at 7pm and even asked if you wanted to wait till the following day since they would have to work through the night. You stated NO! That you had to be out that night due to a law suit. We even paid for the "fines" $213.00 for the complaints. As for the tape, we signed and received it. I do not know why you did not receive the receipt of who signed it. I am asking at this time for the cost you state that were damaged, so that we can resolve this matter, because what you are asking is to be reimbursed for your whole move of $3,033.40 is not an option. You legally have 180 days to file. We can receive this by fax or email, or if you choose by calling our office. AIS Depndable Movers

More Fraudulent Statements Made BY AIS - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I cannot say I was surprised by AIS Dependable Movers rebuttal. They lied the whole time they were trying to get my business, so why wouldn't they continue to lie. When I placed my initial call to AIS to discuss my upcomint move and spoke to Sandra Roberts I taped the call. I taped each and every call that I had with that company. The tapes speak for themselves. The first tape constitues Fraudulent Inducement to use their company. The rest are just plain old fraud. I told Ms. Roberts that I had sued Blue Whale Moving Company in 2002 and won. I also taped every call with Blue Whale and was able to impeach them in court. Nothing makes a judge more angry than a witness sitting there lying to the court. Being able to cause people to get caught lying -Priceless! I am a court reporter, my dad is a lawyer and my grandfather was a judge. I have spent my life watching other people's cases and working my own. The judicial system isn't always fair because so many people lie in court,, you never know what a jury will do, etc. Many people cannot afford attorneys so they cannot take any recourse when they have been ripped off. This website is awesome at exposing the many scum bags out there. I have gotten involved in helping people that cannot afford attorneys find justice. Several of my colleagues have joined my in this endeavor. We often spend our own money helping people. The apartment lawsuit Ms. Roberts spoke of in her rebuttal is regarding countless people that have been charged "rent concession" which is a form of racketeering by the mangement company of the complex that I just moved from. I am not a victim of this. I am not a party to this lawsuit. I helped these victims get lawyers and the Attorney General involved. Since the movers arrived 9 hours late to move us and started our move at 7 pm, they were finishing the move literally as the media was arriving to interview me about this apartment situation. Thanks to AIS UNdependable movers I was up all night due to the move and had to go on camera for the interview as soon as the move was finished. I am not going to address each and every silly excuse that Ms. Roberts details in her rebuttal. BJ is NOT related to anyone at this company. He told me so himself. I have it on tape - period. The items were NOT padded and shrink wrapped as stated in the tape recorded conversation. When you do use a moving company everyone be aware, depending on the state you live in you have anywhere from 30 days to 6 months to report damages. I don't care what they tell you that is the law. There is no way that you could possibly know all that is damaged they way they set furniture and boxes everyplace, have you sign receipt of your belongings and take off. They dont' go through each and every item with you before they leave. You can barely walk through your place let alone get a good view of your belongings. That is why the law states that you have X amount of days to get unpacked and get a look at your furniture and then have a right to make a claim. Also make sure to file a complaint with the department that regulates movers in your state. Texas is the Department of Transportation. If the movers move you to another state find out who regulates movers in that state and file the complaint there as well. We all have to do whatever is necessary to protect our fellow consumers. I am a consumer advocate and am very proud of my work. My colleagues and I mostly handle cases in Central Texas. Our list of accomplishments are very impressive and give us all great joy. It is very rewarding to help people that cannot or are not able to help themselves. Again my hat goes off to Rip-Off Report as their reach is so much farther and helps so many more people than we can. I do want to say that in my long legal career I have learned that the moving industry is by far the most corrupt. They honestly have used car salesman beat and used car salesman in the past were number one on the list of most corrupt industries. We are going to be launching a website dedicated to moving company disasters. I believe we are going to call it moversliesandaudiotapes.com. We are going to tell people how to protect themselves and we are going to post pictures and stories of bad moves. I thought that I was as careful as I could be when I hired AIS. Even when you do your best to protect yourself you still can fall victim to unscrupulous companies. Unfortunately AIS did victimize me and they will be the second moving company that I will be suing in 5 years. Your strong evidence is the only answer once you have been a victim. For Ms. Roberts to say that anyone could make a living suing crappy moving companies has to be uneducated, misinformed and/or on something. Ms. Roberts, I am a court reporter, my husband is a surgeon and we make plenty of money. I donate my time and my money to help people that have been victimized by people like you. My website will have sound and I cannot wait to put the tapes I have of you on it.

AIS DEPENDABLE MOVERS RESPONSE TO YOUR CLAIM

This customer has stated to our company and driver that she has several law suits in process, which includes her apartment complex and several other moving companies as well. We are family owned and operated and BJ is a cousin of the one of our drivers which is married to the owner sister. Which means FAMILY! Our contract states that we have a 2 day window. Which means our drivers can show up at a resonable time within those 2 days. Our driver showed up at 7pm on the first window date and our driver asked if she wanted to wait till in the morning to load because it would mean they would have to work through most of the night to load her items. She stated, "NO! She had to get out of her complex that night due to a law suit with her apartment complex." When we delivered her items the mattress where dirty (and ONLY the corner of her mattress where the pad wrapping fell lose is where her mattress was dirty at!!) and a lamp was also broke. She also said that her apartment had fined her $213.00 for loudness that night due to the move (which once again this customer demanded to be loaded that night). We offered to have her mattress cleaned since it was dirt from the truck NOT from being dragged around. She agreed to the cleaning, and even signed the bill of lading stating mattresses can be "cleaned" but she never submitted her estimates to us. We also PAID her "fine" at the apartment complex for $213.00 even though it was the customer who had demanded to be moved that night. We called her several times up to 1030pm central standard time and she would never answer her phone and even left messages for her to return our call so that we could get this taken care of. When she finally returned our calls she THEN stated she no longer wanted her mattress cleaned she wanted a FULL REFUND of her move! She has threated our company several times that if we did not comply with her demand she would sue and place us on "rip off report". We do offer the addtional insurance for free and we offered to fix the problem but we do not agree with her asking for a FULL REFUND of her move which was $3,033.40 because of the dirt on the corner of her mattress and broken lamp. Also, all STANDARD furniture are reassembly and disassembled are FREE. This customer had bunk beds and a canopy bed which ARE NOT standard items. This move was over 1,000 miles and we did the BEST we could concidering that she only gave us 2 days to put her in route. This is why most moving companies always ask for a customer to book as soon as possible so that we can work around them and not you around us. As for the Ryder truck we had long term lease, which was also insured with our own insurance company as well. My personal opinion is that this customer makes a living off suing companies for bogus claims and warn anyone that does business with her to take EXTREME CAUTION. AIS DEPENDABLE MOVERS
