Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
AIS Dependable Movers began lying from the minute they answered their phone and said "hello."

Unfortunately when we booked the move we did not find any negative information about them on the Internet. Had we viewed the negative information that is now on the Internet we would never have used this company.

My move was a joint move with my mother, Blake. Most of the items were mine, but she had some belongings at my apartment as we were renting the place together while her house was being built.

Every story that I have read about this company since my horrendous move is very similar to mine.

AIS is NOT family owned. They do NOT pay for damages and losses, even though they tell you that you have insurance on your belongings. They use guys to move you in Ryder trucks that give them the best bid on your move.

Blake has just signed documents to sue AIS Undependable Movers. There are other victims contacting her so this may become a class action. Please contact her if you want in on a class action.

Record every phone call that you have with these people because you will need it later as you will probably need to sue them. Do file a complaint with the Attorney General in your state and the agency that regulates movers.

Blake hired a private detective to learn all that she can about AIS. She is a consumer protection advocate. Everyone please be aware AIS DOES NOT EVEN HAVE A BUSINESS LOCATION, THEY WORK OUT OF THE OWNERS HOME. THIS IS CLEARLY WHY THEY DON'T OWN TRUCKS. THIS SPEAKS VOLUMES ABOUT THIS COMPANY. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

If you do use this company guys will show up at your home - who knows when - but it will not be the time that they are supposed to arrive. They will be in a Ryder truck. You will not know for certain who they are. If you move out of state you will likely not see your furniture for a very long time. Your furniture will likely end up in some storage facility in some other state. When you do get your furniture it will likely be damaged. You will also find things missing.

Not only is my furniture damaged, but I have a lot of things missing.

This moving company commits every horrible act that you have heard of and will be severely harmed by.

I am one of the persons named in this rebuttal from this moving company..whatever their name may be this week? Was AIS when I contracted them! They are again not telling the truth here, I sent them by fax on 12/17/2007 13 pages of all the damaged and missing items from their move to me! In fact they called on 12/19/07 to say they had gotten it and that an adjuster would be calling me to come and look at the damage and that they would try and see if they could file something for everything else. Oh and that they did in fact have some of my Daughters' belongings in their office. What if I would have never raised a fuss? Would anyone have contacted me to say they had anything? Anyway... I have yet to hear from ANYONE and am still fighting this on a daily basis and will continue to! They also are aruging the fact that tons of my Daughter's cleaning, laundry supplies, ect.... that they have there, they legally can not transport, although they in fact did transport tons of another room mates that they were told not to touch to my house along with appx. 15-20 bundles of wrapped newspapers and things that were not to be transported here nor on the list along with garbage! I have witnesses to all of this that were here at my home at the time of delivery! I have to date spent hours and hours of time and energy on this matter with them and the total cost of all of the damaged and missing items are $3235.00!!!! Their argument to the charge card company was the time issue, which in fact I had NEVER argued, other than they told me it would be here on Sat. and when Monday came along and they still weren't here or any phone call of any kind, I was upset to say the least. I am sure there will be more to follow!

I read Nicoles comments about AIS movers with some dismay & concern. I had a totally different experience with this company. After conducting research on the internet & contacting the Better Business Bureau & finding no negative information we contacted them about a move from Naples Florida to Houston. I found them to be prompt, totally dependable & professional. 1. The writer indicates that the movers were in a Ryder truck? I feel this is a non-issue since the contract was to deliver household goods to a specific location & the type of truck was not specified contractually. Our household goods were delivered exactly as promised and early! I contracted with AIS to move household goods not to provide a certain kind of truck. This is a non-issue. 2. From my first communication with AIS they let me know they were a small family owned company. I never took that to mean that every employee or contracted representative was a family member & feel that the writer of the complaint is making a very unfair assumption about AIS. In my experience, the movers arrived as per our agreement & were professional & polite in all aspects of loading the van. If as Nicloe's report suggests she had not idea who the men were that showed up at her house, I found it odd that she let them move her belongings at all, and allowed the so called strangers into her home. 3. AIS delivered our household goods early & without damage. The writer of the report has implied that it is somehow sinister to work from your home. I do not understand what their work location has to do with the service they offer. They communicated with me during every phase of the move & were professional & efficient. To me, it makes no difference if they work out of a tent as long as they deliver on their part of the moving contract & they did. Finally, please note that I am not a novice to moving. I have made three major moves using the big name moving companies. Without exception, all three of those moves resulted in damaged goods, were more expensive & were more difficult to deal with. Yes AIS is a small family owned business & they do not have a grand office building. But..they made this the easiest move I have ever had & are an excellent company to work with. Sorry Nicole but you are just wrong on this one! Jill

AIS Dependable Movers is a family owned and operated company. The owner of the company is Reynaldo Rivera who is a Captain in the U.S. Army. He had been deployed at the start of the company and at that timewe placed the company under our mother name Dora Rivera till his return. Now that he has returned from Iraq the company will be put back in his name. Our company has Sandra and Anjelica who are the sisters of Reynaldo and our mother is Dora who work in the office. We also have 2 other girls that work in our office who have been long time friends of Sandra and Anjelica. We currently personally own 2 trucks, which one is owned by Sandra's husband and the other by her brother in law. When we were hired to move Blake Taylor we had just hired BJ who is a long time friend. We had a long term lease with Ryder at that time and let him use this truck before we had invested in buying his own. We have proof that the Ryder truck was rented in our company name and that we had it on our insurance policy proving that we did not broker out her move. At this time we do work out of a home office. This is to keep our cost down since we are a new company. We are currently seeking for a business location to move into this coming year. Out of the 75 plus customers that we have moved we have only had 8 damage claims and they have been settled except for Blake Taylor's and one that is still pending. She is requesting a full refund of her move since she had a dirty mattress and a broken lamp. We have offered numerous times for the dollar amount of her damages and even have signed documents by her stating that we would take care of her mattresses. As for the missing items, this is the first time we have heard such a thing which you would think that this would be one of the first things she would mention though which wasn't until now. We have plenty of happy customers that we have moved form state to state and have allowed us to use them as references as well and will give those to any potential customers. We are a member of the Better Business Bureau of Dallas Texas with 0 complaints. And we are a member of F.M.C.S.A and in good standing. Our DOT number is #1656063 and our MC# 604681 DOT allows 30 days to deliver customers. We have straight delivered most of our customers with the exception of a few. The longest ANY of our customers had to wait for their items is 7 days to be delivered because of location and unforeseen circumstances. There is nothing fraud about our company and can provide any documents that any of our future potential customer may need or want. We have stated the same information several times and will no longer respond to threats. This is the view of 2 customers which are family and yes there is two more customers not satisfied with us one of them we have tried to settle, but she has yet to turn in her damage information and the other we have never heard of nor have done a move from the location he has stated that we moved him from and has yet to responded to our rebuttle. We try to please our customer the best we can, but it is impossible to please every one person.
