"Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to a pattern of complaints and has failed to correct the underlying reason for the complaints. Many of the complaints allege that the company uses bait and switch tactics in their advertising. Consumers claim that the company advertises very low prices but once the workers arrive in the home, they quickly suggest a more expensive treatment and a higher price for the cleaning. Although the company responds to the complaints they have failed to eliminate the basic cause of customer complaints."
This describes our experience exactly. They came into our 1 bedroom double-wide modular home to clean the ductwork. Their newspaper ad was for 69.95. When they arrived, they told us that to really do the job right they should "seal the trunk lines" and clean the furnace and air conditioner, and spray a sanitizer into the ductwork. The final bill was 454.00 dollars and the two men were there for less than an hour. The only equipment was a shop vac and wire brushes. We were naive enough to fall for it--you expect people to be honest and at least put in 6 hours work for all that money!
It's too bad we didn't listen to the channel eleven news report or we would have heard how they tried to rip off an elderly woman for 700.00!
They told us the epa recommends cleaning ducts every 5 years or something like that. That's a flat out lie. The epa doesn't recommend anything!
