Allegiant Van Lines Rip off movers who steal and damage Davie Florida
I contacted this company to do a cross country move back in March of 2013. At this time there were no located complaints against the company and I was told that I would have a move costin around $2400. Upon my stuff being loaded in WA in front of friends the Monday following the weekend move it was jumped to over $5000.
I immediately contacted the company and spoke to ALicia who said she owned the business and she understood my frustration and would have my stuff reweighed. upon reweigh supposedly it still jumped more. Upon its arrival to me in texas I forced the guy to go and reweigh with me before and after. No surprise there was a 1500lb difference. Upon inventory all my stuff a lot of it was either completely missing or damaged.
I contacted the company got a few phone calls back, got no where. I wrote a bad review online got instant access into their claims department. I have spent the last four months taking pictures of every box and item and inventorying all missing items and I get an email from their claims department saying their company is no longer handling Allegiant Van Lines claims. Contact the company for further issues. Still waiting for that call back.
Now I am told by the Department of Transportation since the company is actually located out of Florida I can take them to small claims but I have to do it out of Florida. Apparantly there is no business registered by that name in Florida and the address had listed the house sold.

Been there, done that w/ Allegiant Van Lines back in March of this year. Have you filed a claim w/ protectyourmove.gov? If you haven't you need to. I have been working w/the Feds against this company and will continue to do so until they are in prison. When I started this mission, they only had 3 register complaints w/ the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (DOT) as of today they now have 50 !!!! Please help us and help you by putting these crooks behind bars. Right now they cannot do interstate business. If you'll go to FMCSA.DOT.GOV and enter their DOT number, you will see they are listed as Inactive as of 7-29-13. I live right outside of Houston and would be glad to help you.
