So I got a traffic ticket and made arrangements on 04/14/2008 to pay my account in full ON OR BEFORE 06/16/2008...5 days from now.

In the meantime I have received a ton of calls from their "automated" system EVERYDAY and anywhere from 2-3 collections notices a week in the mail.

I would think that because it is NOT the 14th of June or after that I should not be receiving all or as much "communication" from them.

I called today to inquire about their nonstop communication and was told "well why don't you just pay" I am not trying to avoid payment in ANYWAY and well I have until the 16th so why all the harassment? The lady I spoke to said to me "Oh yeah I owed too and I was receiving calls" (so then you tell me why didn't you just pay?)

Her tone was ridiculous her demeanor even more so. I said to her "I don't know your financial situation and you don't know mine, my account is not past due, I will pay ON OR BEFORE the due date" she continued to say "why don't you just pay" I asked "Is your tone and rudeness really necesarry" to which she replied "I am just being a bill collector ma'am" so I suppose that being a bill collector entails rudeness, being completely incosiderate and well JUST PLAIN RUDE!! At the end of our conversation she said I will notate the account that you called, I said also notate how extremely rude you were.

This account is for a ticket I received. They administer court payments and collect on behalf of the County of San Diego....it's not wonder the county is in an economic mess. If they consider all the "communication" they generate when charging the county for their services that could be rather costly based on my experience.

I am very disappointed in the manor that I was treated and it really frustrated me. Perhaps I am just using this site to rant about my experience or perhaps the "customer" service person (Sandra) I spoke to was just plain and flat out R-U-D-E!!!
