Allie Menzel CPS Worker At FIA In Traverse City MichiganShe lied and Stole my kids!! Traverse City Michigan
I was at work and received a phone call from Allie Menzel. She told me to get down to the sherriffs Dept. immediatley. When I got there I was questioned for about 2 hours(more like harrassed) Her and two officers wrer rude,and very pushy. Finally I was told that my ex was being investigated for touching my daughter and her friend. Allie told me if I kicked him out she wouldnt take my kids. Guess what, she lied. The next day she pulled all three of them. I was never told it was termination until the Magistrate that I already new looked at me and said, you need a lawyer this is for terminating your parental rights.
So this was the beginning of my nightmare. CPS wouldnt tell me what I should do to get my kids back, they said its termination so it doesnt matter what you do. Im told by my lawyer that when CPS asks for termination the judge always grants it.(HOW FAIR IS THAT) But my lawyer also said I had a winnable case. I got my oldest son back because they couldnt keep him in foster care. He ran and was on the run for almost a month until I talked him in to turning himself in. (BUT I AM A BAD MOM)
Finnally we went to trial 8 months later. I was teminated even though CPS testified I never beat my kids or does she believe I would,but Because I stayed in an abusive relationship(ON & OFF) for 14 years that she was afraid I would take him back or find someone just like him. They said that they did everthing to help and try to reunite me and my kids but they didnt do anything. To this day I dont even know what he was accussed of doing to them except tickle them. Now for the best part. He wasnt even charged. Hes not even in jail. The girls kept changing their stories so they dropped # counts of CSC 2nd degree to a simple assault on my daughters friend. So me and my kids are serving a 4-6 year sentance and he is wondering the streets a free man. I say a 4-6 year sentance because my kids are 12 & 14 and I cant see them until they are 18.
My kids are being abused in foster care. My son got caught with drugs and now is on probation. But CPS believes this is better for the kids.
This is a huge problem in Michigan especially in my town. When is it gonna stop. I didnt do anything wrong and my kids were pulled when they could have offered counseling to me and my kids. I believe that terminating my exs rights was the right thing to do, but why mine. At the end of the court hearing the judges words to me were:"The sad part is that I was a victim as well as my kids were but I have to terminate your rights. Since when do victims get punished?
