I received a phone call today the # was only four numerals not a complete #. The man identified him self as a type of officer but wasn't really clear. As he was very fast talking and aggressive. He said that I owed Black Jack bail bonds money for something in which I did not. I told him I paid all fees and went to court; furthermore, after appearing in court their liability for me was released. I had missed court once a year ago. It was put back on calendar and court was completed. Well black jack had called me and said I owed them $900.00 a few months back for missing court (paper work charge they said). Well this guy proceeds to tell me that he is going to send bounty hunters and Nevada officers to come get me and collect one way or another and if I don't pay they will drag my a*s back to Las Vegas and throw me in jail until I pay. The Las Vegas judge frowns on people like me who don't pay their dept owed he says. He also says I will be forced to pay them several thousand dollars more, not to mention the jail time I will receive. I told him I don't believe I even owe this dept. I would like to see something showing that I do. If I do I will have to work out payments because I don't have any money to give him if I did owe it. I explained my wife has been battling a liver rejection this year and we are obviously handling a lot right now. He says well I will take a post dated check but this has to be paid right now! He is talking more forcibly demanding this money and verbally assaulting me at this point. I tell him I don't currently have a checking account. He says well you better let your wife know that since you cant pay this money right now that her husband is going to jail. He continues with threats but on a personal level now saying I promise I'm going to make your life a living hell you will regret not paying this dept. I was amazed by this to say the least. He continued referring to him self as some sort of government agency/law enforcement. I was freighted I have to admit. I can't recall the word he was using it was like G12p something or rather. He was nearly screaming at me and was being extremely profane. I told him I'm sorry I don't have the money so he just continued to get more and more forceful until he finally hung up on me. His last words were you are going to regret this. I'm about to screw your life up bad make sure to tell your wife she is going to be with out a husband for a long while. He said he cant believe I am so stupid not to pay this, I'm in some serious trouble. Then hangs up. In shock I called the place that he said I owe money and they told me they sent it to Allied collection locally in Las Vegas. The guys name is Mike blue that called me. So I called Allied and asked to speak to a manager, well they transferred me to Mike's answering machine so he must run the place there. I just hung up and didn't leave a message of coarse. I don't know what to do? I'm assuming they aren't supposed to talk to me in this threatening manner and don't really have the power to arrested me for a bill. If anyone could do that it would have been the bonds company themselves not a collection agency. I called back Black Jack and told them what happened; they said wow well you better pay them. This is nuts I don't feel I even owe these people anything. Is this Legal What they are doing? They are also blowing up my wife phone i told her not to p/u. What do we do?

Allied collections is also the same company as Sentry Recovery. They have also been harrassing me and I am trying to find more people that this company has ripped off. The way they conduct business is totally illegal and if you're interested in filing a class action suit please let me know.

www.budhibbs.com go here immediately. This is a CONSUMER ADVOCACY website that specializes in Collection Agencies. NOTE COLLECTION AGENCIES DO NOT WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT THIS SITE! They have Allied listed - their list is of the worst FDCPA violators in the country. Threatening with arrest is in violation of FDCPA. They also update their lists based on complaints from Consumers - so if you have an issue with an agency not on the list - you can report them on this site as well.
