This place is quite possibly the worst place I have ever worked in my life. I should have suspected as much, seeing how they said you needed a Bachelor of Science to work there, but they never even checked my transcripts. I was hired with four other people, three of us started on Monday (June 22nd 2009) and Two the following Monday (June 29th). When we first started we were told that the first three months we would be 1099 contracted and after that period we would become W2 employees. I was told we were going to be paid $25k base plus commission. I was emailed a schedule of Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with a one hour lunch from 1:00pm-2:00pm. The job was working as a secondary pharmaceutical provider. Basically I cold called the in-patient pharmacies' of hospitals nationwide and ask them do they need hard to find items. The answer is usually No because they get 10-15 calls per day offering the same products only cheaper and we interrupt them. Plus the meds are marked up to 400% from what the pharmacy buyer usually pays from their primary wholesaler.

The environment was toxic; there is one self proclaimed l*****n woman named Rachel Torres who uses the alias Lisa Noble with all of her customers (this made me a little suspicious). I have never heard the N word thrown around so loosely at the workplace before; in fact not at all. On my last day there the new guy "Brian" told Rachel that he got sent home at his last job for making statements like that and do you know who our president is?(referring to Barack Obama). This lady (and I use the word loosely) has made comments such as That's Why the Blacks Sit in the Back and using the word Jiggaboo to describe a fellow Co-worker of mine. On my last day there that same Co-worker (an African American young lady) said she Wants to Sue Because She is Tired of the Colored Jokes. This same young lady had a cold one day; another Co-worker said in jest Julia is coughing over here infecting all of us Rachel/Lisa blurted out (loudly so the whole office could hear) What Is She Turning Everyone Black? I didn't find that remotely funny.

When we got the cubicles installed (July 31, 2009) Rachel or Lisa said the Blacks are Going to Sit on One Side and the Rest of Us on This Side In 2009 and the year of the first African American president I could hardly believe my ears. It is like working in the 1950's (from what I've read). I should have said something before but it is made abundantly clear that Rachel/Lisa is the top salesperson and gets to come in late and leave early. She makes the majority of the money for the company (mainly the owner Anthony Minnuto) and they go way back, so everyone who has ever crossed her since I have been there has been fired. Secondly I was a 1099 and she has been with the company since it started, so I assume she is a W2 employee. I was given the impression that 1099s had no workplace rights. She blasts music all day so loud you would think you were at a concert. I put up with the job mostly because the economy is terrible (10.6% unemployment in Florida). The turnover is so high there, in just the first month I've seen three people fired. We were required to make either 150 calls per day or two hours and thirty minutes of phone time. The start of me getting fed up was when they fired the guy I started with. After we left the premises I asked him what happened.

He said that he got fired (three days before payday), but he was even more mad that they weren't going to pay him for his past two weeks of working there or for the two days of the following pay period. So he was fired with no last paycheck. The owner (Anthony Minnuto) told him We don't have to pay you because you are a 1099. My former Co-worker told him He will hear from his lawyer. The next day we received an email from the owner stating there is no salary for the first three months The money that we have been receiving was just an Advance on our Future Commissions and not payments for the 40 hours we have been putting in every week. (We were not made aware of this before we were hired).

In fact according to the email, we didn't have a set time to be there and no obligation to come Maybe he thinks we all coincidentally show up at 8:00am and leave at 5:00pm and all just decide out of the blue to take one hour lunch breaks from 1:00pm-2:00pm. The next day he called me in his office and asked did I understand the email. I told him this wasn't made aware to me prior to me starting and that I was emailed a schedule to be here form 8-5. He said he fired my former Co-worker because he came in at 8:30am and called the west coast too early. Well if there is no set time to be there he shouldn't care what time he came in. This employee was indeed making sales. The owner stated if you are not there then you can't make sales. But if we weren't required to be there how can they make work requirements of making 150 calls per day? Basically the company wants to have employees, but doesn't want to put it on their taxes or pay the fees associated with having employees. It went without saying if you didn't come in you would be fired or won't be hired. In the email sent by the owner it was stated if you don't do what is required of our employees, we will not hire you". I was fired because they have new people coming over from a sinking rival company called Med Search. I was fired one week before payday (I mean they waited until Friday at 4:55pm) and I am not being paid for the 80 hours that I have worked. I was there early from 7:50am-5:05pm literally every day. This job will cause you to get an ulcer. It's almost impossible to concentrate on your work with the racial tension there. I told the manager on the day that I was fired what was being said on the floor. I asked the purchasing manager who was in the office at the time, if he heard the racist comments that are being made and he shook his head yes.

SHAME ON YOU ALLIED MEDICAL SUPPLY FOR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF A BAD ECONOMY!

I worked with this fellow employee and everything he states is the truth. I had a terrible feeling about this company from get go. I too accepted the position because of the necessity to seek employment. I have a background in sales and worked at a pharmacy before so I had an understanding of these prescription drugs and I knew that this company was in the black market. They take medicine out of the current market and release back out at a tremendous mark up that is literally impossible to purchase. Some might say this is one grey are of our medical problem here in the USA.


What this gentleman, Anthony Minnuto, does is a horrible way to treat people in the workforce. First of all as an ex-employee, I can say personally that he is the worst business owner I have ever met. I worked there for 5 weeks and do you think he had the decency to say Hi, my names Anthony, welcome aboard or anything of that nature that would make me feel welcome to work there. Any encouragement of any sort to feel somewhat welcomed to work there would have at least shown his lack of business ethics. For gods sake, he is the owner of the place and didnt even acknowledge me at all until he fired me for no reason. 5 weeks and no word with him at all! Horrible human being, horrible people skills and horrible business owner.


Now some fellow employees were nice but there was one in particular that is just plain nasty. Rachel Torres/Lisa Noble being the ultimate badmouth, racist person I have ever meet. She would make racist comments all day long, all day long. She would put down people for no reason at all, and the worse part about it was that no one can say anything because Anthony Minnuto aka the owner would allow such behavior. I know this because his door was always open and he could hear the all the nasty, degrading, racist comments that came out of her mouth. Blacks in the back Shut up w***e!!! f**k you, n****r the list goes on and on and on. The N word was thrown out frequently by her. I felt injustice for my fellow co-workers who are black and I knew that they felt hurt by the racial slurs Rachel Torres/Lisa Noble would say all day long. 


On my last day of employment, I was called in the office at 4:55 pm by Samantha Godfrey. At that time told me she had to let me go. I was in shock due to the fact that I was making sales. That day in particular I had an evaluation by one of my fellow co-workers who was just as nasty as Rachel Torres/Lisa Noble. Her name was Caroline. She told me why are you working here, youre stupid, you dont know how to make calls. Hang up now. Dont call California at this time It was 10 am in the morning. Little does she know that most of my sales came from early morning and from the west coast.


After I left Samanthas office I went to Anthony Minnutos office. I was trying to find out why I was fired but given no explanation. All he told me was I am not going to pay you, do whatever you want, you are not getting s**t, dont wait for your check in the mail because its not going to be there I said excuse me sir, but I worked my 80 hours and 2 days and  I made sales, why am I not being compensated. He responded because youre a 1099, didnt Samantha tell you? I replied yes, but she also just told me that I would be compensated for my hours and that the commission was kept because of my 3 months probation period I stressed the fact that that was not fair and he would hear from my lawyer. He replied in a very sarcastic manner whatever. 


I left furious and very disappointed about Allied Medical and Anthony Minnuto. He has no right to make me work 96 hours without pay. If he or Samantha would have told me that from the beginning I would have not taken the position at all. No one in their right mind would wake up early (6 am), drive in traffic, work 8 hours, and drive back in traffic to not get compensated at all!!! No money was paid to for my last 2 weeks and 2 day a total of 96 hours. My question is, why pay me my first two weeks in the first place, Anthony? This man is just taking advantage of the unemployed people out in Florida. This is not right. I dont know much about his little real estate seminars but I can tell you I would not trust him with my money or investments!!

These lies were posted by John Bryson.  I remember when he came to work at Allied.  I trained him.  We worked together for a few weeks and he was always asking questions about the business that he had no reason to know the answer.  He gathered up as much information as he could without doing any work and that's why he got fired. 

I realized after he posted this that he was just there to get information for the competitor that he worked for.

The story he tells where he mentions my name is a total lie.  None of it ever happened. 

Shame on YOU John Bryson for making up these lies to try and hurt good people.

This statement was posted by a competitor and is 100% false.  They posted this with the intent to harm my company as immediately after it was posted, they sent the link out to our customers and vendors.  They mention specifically one of my sales people who used to work for their company.  They did this in an attempt to get her customers to not want to work with her anymore.  So in an attempt to harm her and my company, they post these lies.



 



They also did this with the intent to harm my company in order to gain market share and make it difficult for us to hire anyone in the future as applicants will research the company before they interview.  I can assure any future applicants, these allegations are all lies posted by a competitor.   After posting this they also created follow up posts confirming this post only to further perpetuate these lies.   After this slander was posted, my attorney immediately filed a lawsuit against the company and individual who posted these lies.  My attorney also advised me not to respond to this post however, not responding causes those who read this to believe this story is true.  It is not and any of my employees will attest to it.



 



I will not mention the company that posted this because I dont need to stoop down to their level in order to succeed in business.  We will instead continue to provide outstanding service to our customers and a great working environment for our employees.   I invite anyone to call any person working at my company and ask them if any of this is true.  They will of course say it is not.  Call any of our employees and ask if they enjoy working for Allied and they will all say they are extremely happy and never want to leave.   Thats why we are the #1 top producing company in our industry dominating all of our competitors.  We succeed by building ourselves up, not by trying to knock the competition down.   That is why our customers and employees are loyal.  Also, since inception of the company, we have had hundreds of employees.  Of those hundreds of employees, only 1 in the history of the company resigned and that was to get married and relocate.  If our employees werent happy, we would have had many more resignations.
