Sherry, Thats why you never respond to anything on the internet. Nothing is free. I am positive there was fine print there that you couldn't read even with a magnifying glass, but legal. You should have returned the CD instead of keeping it. You could have done this for free by just marking the package "REFUSED" and "Return To Sender". You need to send Allied Interstate a DEBT VALIDATION REQUEST demanding to see whatever you signed or agreed to pay and also proof that you actually recieved the CD. Send this by certified mail, return reciept requested, and be sure to put the certified# on the letter itself and keep a copy for your records. This is very important. Sounds like you already validated the debt if you spoke to the collectors on the phone. NEVER speak to any collector on the phone. NEVER!!
