Alltel contract dispute the WORST customer service tricked and lied to us Little Rock Arkansas
I don't know if it makes me feel better or worse reading all the other complaints about Alltel. Here's mine...I have had many issues with Alltel, from incorrect charges to misplaced payments, but the latest problem is turning into quite the battle. When I signed my Alltel contract, I told the sales person that I might be relocating for my job so wasn't sure that I should sign the 2 year contract. He explained to me that if I moved into an area that Alltel serviced, that I would be responsible for continuing service until my contract expired. If Alltel did not provide service, then I would not be charged the termination fee.
A year later, we moved to Oregon from Arizona, to an area with no Alltel service. I called to cancel my service, was given a confirmation number, then continued to receive bills for the monthly service. Two months after I canceled service, I was billed $200 for the termination fee.
I tried to call *many* times to discuss with someone, and like the usual poor service, was kept on hold for long periods of time, only to be disconnected. I received a collection notice with an additional $105 in charges. The total of the collection notice is $528.31. Before I received the collection notice, the total time I have spent on hold with Alltel= 14 hours. I have also sent three emails and never received a reply. I sent a rebuttal to the collection notice and have not heard anything yet. I have documented all the phone calls and errors that Alltel has made, and would be very interested in helping with a class action law suit.
