Alltel ripoff Denial of service Nationwide
When I signed up with alltel, Jason told me that we would have service in the Gaylord/Elmira, Mi area. We joined the service. We only go there every 2 weeks for the weekend. The first week I was concerned about roaming so did not try to use it because the triangle was showind on our phones. 2 weeks later I tried and we were not able to send or receive phone calls. I called the service department and they had me try to update the towers by *228. 2 weeks later we went up, still no service. I have contacted the following people trying to resolve this issue:

-8/5 Holly at the gaylord, mi store. She stated we would not have service in Elmira at our home.
-8/9 Laura discussed I was told we would have service when we signed up in the Elmira, Mi area.
I was ready to bite the bullet and be stuck without service until my children came to our home with their alltel phones and made and received phone calls. The only difference is we have T-720 phones and they have Nokia 3585i phones.
-9/28 Veronica who took us through checking our phones and stated they were ok. Stated that the Nokia phones my children have probably were just able to pull the signal in better. Her extension was 6902. She had given me this extension so I could get back in touch with her if the technician and the two of us were disconnected. We were not able to get ahold of her when calling back by this extension. I talked with David 6125 who said he would e-mail her. Still no phone call, no resolution.
I am being denied service in an area that is available as proved by my children; Scott and Renee Letts. Alltel states: We get it right, or we make it right. So far they are not doing either one.
I have written to Alltel board of directors; no response.
10/26-10/27 I have called board member Matthew at 517-930-8999 without a return phone call.

I will start out saying Im sorry you have problems with your t720. I have found in my two years of saling cell phone that some phones pick up better than others . One of Alltels best receving phones is the nokia 3585i and the 3587i witch is the newer version with a color screen. I can not help you that much but you could try to buy one of these phones off of e bay and probly get a good deal on it . Take that phone to your local retail store . Where they will program it with your number at no charge . Also doing it this way will not extend your contract. Good luck I hope this helps.
