I have now received two demands for $174.01 from Alyon.I managed to speak to one of their operators and was informed that someone in my household must have given consent to log-on to a $4.99/min website.I live alone and am certain that had someone broken into my apartment, they would have found more devious things to do and steal than to log-on to some (censored)website.That leaves me. Knowing for years that I have never called a highly priced phone service and always considered the people that do to be insane, I am certain that I never gave my 'permission' for this connection.I have no idea which adult website I am supposed to have viewed and being of sound mind, am certain that I didn't.
The key words above are 'steal'and 'extortion'. Steal, because what has happened without my knowledge is theft and not being a computer techy, I have no idea how this so-called company hijacked my phoneline for (censored)purposes. Extortion, because these (censored) are betting on the psychological embarassment of law-abiding citizens to pay up rather than face an investigation concerning the use of pornography (which I was about to do until I tried to view my 'account' and came across the huge littany of similar complaints)
I will certainly not be sending any money to these devious (censored)and hope this message will be of some assistance in bringing them to justice. Their last demand was ended with the instruction, 'Please govern yourself accordingly'. I feel I have done that but could definitely live without the stress that these (censored) have given me.
