Dear Sir,
My wife and I were sold a house in 2006 by Keller Williams and financed by Amarillo National Bank and only recently found out (at refi) that the bank had purposely withheld information about a flood certificate from 2006, the certificate was altered to show the wrong address, according to federal and state law they are required to tell us the truth about this before we buy the house, but at the same time all courts have struck down the buyers right to sue over this serious breech, leaving the buyer to hold the bag for a property in a flood zone, this belies the fact that "buyer beware" is not supposed to apply to a purchase of real estate....please help all of us that are being defrauded by banks and realtors as it pertains to flood zone notifications, it is becoming an epidemic with the home owners having no place to turn !
