Last night I ordered something from Amazon.com after seeing what I thought was a good deal. It was such a good deal I decided to pay the extra $14 for two day shipping. Today I went online to see what progress had been made, expecting that it had been shipped and was on it’s way. Instead it said that my item would be arriving after December 25. Assuming it was a mistake, I called up Amazon and after 40 minutes I got through to a person. She explained to me why it was going to take so long. The $14 I paid for two day shipping was just that, they would ship my order in two days, it would take nine days for delivery to my house. I was paying extra for them to ship my item in two days as opposed to who knows when. When challenged the woman told me she would waive the extra shipping charges and make it one day shipping so that my order would arrive one day earlier, eight days instead of nine although this is the second day and it hasn’t shipped.


The ubsurdity of this is overwhelming.  Amazon has redefined the word “shipping” and is taking advantage of the holiday season to ripoff people in their little shipping scam. 


just called amazon and was told with expedited, one day shipping, my item will be delivered 12-23-13. i ordered one day shipping yesterday and it still has not even been shipped much less delivered. we now have to pay sellers extra to ship to us?
