AMBASSADOR INTERATIONAL SWEEPSTAKES Cross Border Counterfeit Check Scam Varies Quebec
Counterfeit cashier's checks were sent to individuals who were announced as winners in a prize lottery giveaway by AMBASSADOR INTERNATIONAL Sweepstakes. The counterfeit check shows Wilshire State Bank branding and corporate logo, but THE AWARD WINNING NOTIFICATION AND CASHIER'S CHECK IS A COUNTERFEIT scam.
The sender of the counterfeit cashier's check is attempting to defraud consumers.

DO NOT DEPOSIT: A COUNTERFEIT CHECKS is attached to the: AWARD WINNING NOTIFICATION: "Congratulations on your success...winner of "North American Utilities" draw held Monday April 24, 2008.....you have been awarded a lump sum of $46,500..." Ambassador International World Sweepstakes...to be paid as commission on your winning prize. Fake contact names: LAURA ALLEN and Michael Simmons New fake throwaway cell #: 514-691-4711 (HELLO CANADA!!!) Of course, as usual letter is written by "HANDA TRUDEL", the same fake name used in many other scams.
